I had this problem a year ago... but don't remember the solution. I reinstalled the whol game, saved in directory mode two possible thins that might have fixed it.

Are you using a custom trees.2da for your module, or have one in your override folder?

I dug some forums where I was describing this problem to a friend to see if I had the same as you. My tress could be placed, and were visible. After I saved the module, they were disappearing. Also, any tree placed before the save, could be copied or placed again without problem. The trees were ion my cursor, and if I clicked on the ground, then they also were on area content... but invisible. Are you having these same issues?

Andy, I suspect the problem you were having was that the trees were filtered to be invisible. The behaviour you describe (visible on cursor, disappear when clicked on ground) happens when they're filtered in the visibility list. Torenor describes different behaviour, and says that they are not filtered.

Mine were also not filtered. I pressed the show all button again and again. Try creating a new module and place some trees down before you save. Save afterwords and reload this module to see if they are there. Try both saves dic and mod. I really think this was my problem... always a possibility to be different though with the toolset
.
