I bought the Trilogy recently which means none of the ME 2 DLC is present and I wanted mostly the stuff from the Collectors edition like the Collector armor ect. Since there is no upgrade deal if I bought the digital deluxe edition of ME 2 on Steam would that cause me any kinds of issues? Right now its on sale on Steam for $7 but obviously the Trilogy is only available on Oirgin.

Hi there ,

The Mass Effect 2 Digital Deluxe Edition includes extra in game items:
Collector Armour & Assault Rifle
Incisor Sniper Rifle
Cerberus Network
Soundtrack
Mass Effect 2 documentary
Digital Dark Horse Comic
Digital Art Book

You shouldn't have any problems what-so ever with it. Only thing you have to remember is that : While the game runs on a different platform (in this case Steam) than Origin , you will not be able to buy it in Steam and transfer it to your Origin account , nor transfer "parts" of it such as the deluxe content or armors/weapons. But you will be able to play it fully on the Steam platform and then easily import your save game in your Origin's Mass Effect 3 game. Let me know if you need help with anything else.

This is Commander Shepard and this is my favourite place on the Citadel.

I know that you can redeem the Steam copy of Mass Effect 2 in Origin. When I did that it showed up as me having the Digital Deluxe edition so it shouldn't overwrite your other version of ME2.

DLC from other platforms does not carry over. Trust me, I've learned that the hard way (I bought ME2's DLC twice, once for PC and for 360). I tried complaining to EA Customer Support but it didn't get me anywhere; all they would do is apologize for the inconvenience. [INSERT EA HATE COMMENT HERE]
