When were the Collector's mentioned in the previous books or game? I recall hearing about them prior to the news that they were the primary enemies in ME2, but I can't remember any details. I have played through the first game three times, finishing the last this past weekend, but I didnt go into all of the conversation threads the second and third time and probably heard this connection the first time when the game first came out.
