Well, I'm playing on both PS3 and PC, and I can assure you that XCOM can absolutely be played on console!Kalas747 wrote...
Forgot about those. Two of my favorite PC games of recent times as well. They truly cannot be played on console.

In no particular order...
TES: Skyrim
The Last of Us
Tomb Raider
Fallout 3
Fallout New Vegas
Saints Row the Third
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Dragon's Dogma (vanilla and Dark Arisen)
Overlord
Borderlands 1/2
Demon's Souls
Far Cry 3
Portal 1/2
Half Life 2
Uncharted 1/2/3
Infamous
Resistance 1/2/3
Assassin's Creed (all)
Just Cause 2
Darksiders 1/2
Tales of Vesperia
Valkyria Chronicles
Honestly, I could keep going. Sooo many awesome games this generation. It would be impossible to pick a favorite (for me, anyway). If you based it on time investment, though, definitely Skyrim, with Dragon's Dogma close behind.

Mass Effect 2 and Battlefield Bad Company 2 were my favorites.
But, I mean, there were so many great games. All the ones that others have listed apply too me as well. But ME2 and BFBC2 are my favorites.

As a golden haired, muscular, V-shaped clevage spandex wearing member of master race, I rejoice the arrival of new console generation. It'll be nice to get multiplatform games that don't operate on system memory standards as they were in 2006.
Having said that, charms THE NEW THING has over people astonishes me. neither of the new consoles is going to have a remotely interesting catalogue of games in at least few more years. Yet, loads of people wanna rush to store on day one, buying PS4 (I assume PS4 is the only option for people, excluding people who only exist in Mcdonalds commercials) just for the sake of buying the machine. There's no real catalogue with anything resembling depth in a very long time. On the other hand, like half a billion PS3/Xbox 360 units ensure every single significant multi platform release is also going to be a multi generation release for a long time; Most of the games featured in Sony's and Antichrist's console launch events are going to get released on PS3&360 as well.
So yeah, I'd keep the past tense off my topics, OP;p
At time of writing this, GTA V remains only console game of current generation that I've played with sincere addiction and passion so it seems like a safe pick!
