I'm getting completely wrecked trying to complete Ahren's wager. Anyone have tips for finishing it? I'm a level 18 Infiltrator, trying to use Wrex and Liara. I have yet to be able to kill both of the snipers after collecting the data without one of them one-hit killing Liara, if not myself. What is the best place to try and dig in?

What biotic abilities do you have? If Liara has Lift, just use that and then have Wrex use push on the "lifted" sniper. Rinse and repeat.

My strategy for doing this was to activate the two anti-air turrets on either side of the map after killing the initial Turian guards (but BEFORE getting the data). Once the data is gotten, I eliminated the two snipers, closed the bulkhead door (to slow down the flow of incoming Turians), and then ran up into one of the places where the snipers formerly used to be. I then had my entire squad hunker down and killed anybody that tried coming up the ramp to us.

In this position, you're protected from a large amount of the rocket and gunfire from the Turians, while the Turians are caught out in the open, easy targets for the turrets.

Are you intentionally trying to tackle Pinnacle Station with a low-level character just for the "fun" of it? Given the DLC's late release, Pinnacle Station missions were designed with higher difficulty to satisfy all the level 60 monstrosities everyone was using. A high-level Infiltrator -> Commando with a Medical Endoskeleton can have continuous Immunity and therefore survive indefinitely in that mission.

Did you fix the two Surface to Air Turrets?

I eventually decided to just leave and come back to finish this. I was able to take 1st in all of the trials at that level, but that final mission proved to just be a little too much for my low level gear and abilities. I returned around level 30 and it wasn't too difficult once my team had some decent shields/armor. I think that was the big hang-up, we just didn't have the defense to withstand the constant pressure from the respawns so I'd fall behind during ability cooldowns.

I really don't like the mechanic they implemented here. Something about an enemy respawning instantly when you kill a different one seems like a bad design choice; when I came back to this mission I found it was easier to stay alive by killing less of them. That doesn't seem very logical. Oh well.

What I do is kill all the initial guards... turn on the turrets go over to where you get the data, get the data then make the squadies hide about 5to 6 feet to your left, then i run over to the bridge facing the squaddies and hide behind the boxes on the left side rail....... when you do this the snipers are not a problem.... they are out of range, the anti tank mercs can be a problem. but you just kill anyone on your left your squad will take care of the guys spawning on the right trying to take the bridge. works well the boxes also keep you mostly protected from rocket splash.
