Well what do you call this Manju. Maybe now you can explain why you bothered to send this, since you ignored my reply on XBL and the comment on your wall...

Sigh... Not that I care, but that still doesn't explain the fact you ignored my comment on your comment wall. Also, you can only PM someone if they're on your friends list.IllusiveManJr wrote...
I wanted to PM you to set up some matches but I can't PM anyone here anymore for some reason. And I didn't see your reply on LIVE.

It does. I can outscore better players than myself but spamming snap cheese a whole match if they have detonating powers. Or I can spam Cain Mines and never give anyone even a sliver of a chance to kill much of anything. Most of the time the scoreboard is pretty accurate though but the scoring is pretty ridiculous. Mooks always account for more points, kills always give more credit no matter who did most of the damage, primers and detonators are completely screwy as far as scoring.XFG-65 wrote...
No it hasn't. I love the scoreboard. Whether I'm in 4th place with less than 100k points or in 1st place with over 350k points, the scoreboard never lies. It tells you how good you are at the game. If you're consistently breaking 200k in score, then you're good.
I didn't know about this. But you're referring to very specific situations here. You won't alwys be in a position where all you have to do is spam a priming power on everything in order to get a high score. The opportunity only presents itself occasionally. I really don't understand why there's such a huge fuss over score. Surely someone who scores 200k must have played better than someone who scores below 100k, right? And it makes you a better player if you can consistently outscore the people you play with. Key word here is consistency.
Another thing, regarding the cain mine spammage: I've played with a couple of players who are extremely good at using the Talon mercenary and they end up with huge scores. Not the case for me. I've tried to use this character and I've never been able to replicate what they do. You make it sound equivalent to using flamer on bronze on Glacier. But that's not the case. Cain mine spamamge can be very tough (for me) on certain maps on platinum, because that character is extremely squishy. You make it sound way too easy.

You don't get points for kiting Banshees while your team drops the wave budget mook farming. You don't get points for being the brave person who realises your team is never going to finish that device if someone doesn't run across the other side of the map and take some aggro with them.
To those that do these kinds of things and to those that play as a team and prioritise keeping every body up and having fun over their score.
There are not enough medals.

I'd argue Flamer classes are far more brain dead.
Flamer is more brain dead but there are more Infiltrators than Flamer classes. The douchebags of ME can't rely on Flamer as many weapons will out DPS it. So sad.megabeast37215 wrote...

Personally, I play kits that I have fun with, and dont care what other people consider skillful/OP/Crutch/Cheese.
To be honest, a large part of why I consider the GI to be the douchebag class extradonaire is simply that with the right weapons, he can essentially undermine the entire team. GI, with Hurricane X, debuff and tac cloak bonus as well? Good luck killing much. The way I see it, I could slap my Hurricane X on the class with some SMG amps etc and do the same thing, but I see it a douchey thing to do. Just because you can potentially kill everything imo is not a justification for doing so. Unless on Plat, then those that need every kill just to have it come off as douchey to me. I know people are usually quite selfish so it doesn't surprise me, but I guess I am not that kind of guy.DcIhNaGv3z wrote...

I wonder if the scoreboard was not there, and you never knew you were being outscored by an infiltrator, if you would still hold such a negative option.

Agreed friend. I have always kind of wondered, if ME3 is kind of a bastion for those that don't really excel at PvP competitive games such as fighters or shooters, even Starcraft etc? I guess the reason I find it interesting is that when you actually do play competitive mediums its kind of hard not to laugh at how important score is to some on a game like this.ClydeInTheShell wrote...
The score matters to people who don't realize that it doesn't measure your skill. If you play long enough, you'll realize that you can play a great game and be in last place, or not play so great and be in first place. Everybody gets the same amount of credits and XP at the end, so the only thing that's important is getting to extraction, regardless of who gets the highest point total.
As for the whole cheese/OP/crutch kits argument, play what you enjoy and don't let anyone tell you differently.
