I know the endings have been brought up SO many times, but as an ending supporter I have to say the following:

So basically this video (2m28s - 3m4s) pretty much sums up how I feel when someone rages against me for liking the Mass Effect 3 ending.

Seriosly now, everyone has the right to voice their own opinion, no matter how unpopular. And the ones who voice their own unpopular opinions are a lot braver than the rest, who just "goes with the crowd" because the crowd says so.

Btw I'm not an supporter of the ending. Actually, I loathe it.

There are people like that on both sides of the Great Divide of ME 3 ™, and their noise sadly makes them be the ones you remember the most. Good thing if you're not like that and can voice your opinion without raging against those who don't share it. Must be better for one's blood pressure as well ^^

The only issue I have with people who like the endings to Mass Effect 3 is that so so few of them are willing to post as to why.

You look at a general post of someone who doesn't like the ending and they at least briefly explain what they don't like.

Look at a general post of someone who likes the endings and it usually contains "I like the endings, why do people hate me for that?"

My friends and I have had great discussions about the endings because we are both willing to put our points across. You can't discuss something with a side who is near silent though.

Haters can rage against me all they like.  I am still going to play ME 3 and enjoy it and there is nothing they can do about that.  If they don't like the fact that I like something than that is their problem not mine.  So they can try and come at us with their slogans, their gifs, their memes, their custom avatars, but that doesn't change a damn thing.

You also can't discuss something with a side that yells "No it's just bad!" to all of your points. If more of the haters would realise that their opinion is subjective and not some sort of objective fact, then that would go a long way to opening up rational discussion.

Personally I'd say the reason why you don't see more people making topics to itemise the reasons they like the ending is simply because they know it's going to get trolled with negativity, so there's no point.

I myself have a post that I've been thinking of making to catalogue all the things I liked about the ending, with pictures and everything. But seeing that so much of it either subjective, based on my unique character/choices or simply just headcanon, I don't bother. Especially seeing that it'll just get shouted down anyway by people who don't want to hear a differing viewpoint, I doubt that I'll waste my time.

The thread was mostly meant as a sort of joke, you know to be funny. Apparently, no one realised, but I'll just say that there is only one thing I don't REALLY like about the ending (but I can live with it, I'm not going into detail because no spoilers and all) and other than that, the EC made an actually pretty good ending. I think me playing the 3 games shows that I like it (especially me pre-ordering and getting the collector's edition of ME3, something I never do), and the fact that there's nothing I dislike should be then enough argument to say: I like the endings. If you want more details, friend and PM me anything from the ending you don't like or think I don't like, I'll tell you why I think it's good (or at least, not bad).
