I'm playing ME3 through for the first time right now, and I keep thinking that I wish I had started a vanguard when I played ME1 and started this char. Is there any way to change my class but keep all my character's past decisions etc.?

You can change your character's class when you import a save and start a new game in ME3 all your past choices will remain from ME1 and ME2.

Since your on PC, you can change your class at any time using a program called gibbed for me3 to edit your save data, doing so also resets your talent points allowing you to redistribute them.

This.

I have 6 playthroughs for various decisions and LIs... but I'm gonna go a different class for each now. Keep the game somewhat interesting as I keep playing it for the years ahead.
