<Warning!!! This video might be shamelessly rewriting the laws of Video Game Physics! (Like the Sacred Ashes Trailer did.) Exercise caution! Image IPB>

Saw it on my Xbox... didn't care for the song but the game looks nice.

Although I've enjoyed playing FFVII and FFX, I didn't really like FFXII and I don't know if I can bring myself to buy FFXIII.

Probably won't, but have fun for those who get it!

Final Fantasy stoped being fun as soon as it left the PS1. I dan't care how pritty they make the games they are still horrid to play.

Interestingly, the same thing I was just thinking while watching the video, but before reading your comments.  The video just doesn't look or feel like Final Fantasy to me (although I imagine the terrible song choice contributed to that...are there actually people who like Leona Lewis?)

Strangely enough this is the first Final Fantasy since FF8 that I've been intrigued about. Not that I enjoyed FF8 at all. Only that it was the last time I followed marketing for a Final Fantasy game. I caught this trailer several days back at 1up and something about it caught my eye despite the immense number of JRPG cliches evident in it. Maybe it is seeing a female protagonist in a more serious seeming FF than X2. I'm not sure. Either way, I do not own a PS3 or 360 so unless a PC version comes out this is an automatic skip.

I liked the song well enough too. :P Then again I also liked the two NiGHTS themes in the original Saturn version. My judgment here is probably suspect.

Final Fantasy XII was decent, and made several refreshing changes to the series.  Its gambit system is also a more refined version of DA:O's tactics system.

FF12 scared me away with intel I found about it's later game weapons being stupidly hard to obtain. I found myself worrying about whether or not the game was trying to force people to play the game non-stop for sick long periods of time 'for da goodies' & completely failing to see the illogic of that kind of game design. (One of the intel's bein a final weapon for one of the weapons lines having to be farmed for over 10 hours before it can START dropping! WTB!!? Image IPB) That one thing alone made me fear that I would never be able to commit the time needed on the game to succeed on it, thus I got scared away. (One caveat in an otherwise at least decent game, but that one thing KOed my ability to enjoy the game. Image IPB)

I heard about the company havin some kinda cataclysm partway through FF12's development, & I gave them slack. Despite this, the game still managed to blow it on the grinding & farming aspect of the game & became the 1st FF game I bugged out from buying.

I dare to hope FF13 won't make similar mistakes & be at least as fun as FF10. (I have yet to manage to get to play FF10-2. It's on my to-do list despite rumors i've heard about it. FF10 built me up loads of Yuna fandom, so I can afford to spend some of it attempting to handle FF10-2. Image IPB) Speaking of mistakes, i've done my very best to be patient for FF13 in the hope that the game devs are taking their time on it & striving to maximize game polish. I seriously hope they learned from FF12 & strove to use the time wisely.
