[The Love Runner]

I just re-watched X1, X2, and First Class yesterday to prepare myself for when I use my free movie ticket to see Days of Future Past again. I noticed the references between the films a heck of a lot more watching them in a row.
 
Also, I had an OMG moment when I noticed that Robin Scherbatsky's Dad made an appearance in First Class, while Robin herself is in the MCU as Maria Hill.

Not a thing, Xmen days of future past is just better, and there is not a thing wrong with that.

It just seemed really childish to me apart from Magneto's story. Corny dialogue, so-so acting, and it's like they were playfighting at the end. I mean they can level buildings but absolutely no one got hurt apart from Mcavoy. But the music was great and Fassbender was cool (but mostly hot).

Sorry, can't do it. I refuse to watch any more X-men movies since they absolutely ruined what was supposed to be the Phoenix Saga.  If they are going to try to create a direct story from the comics, then they need to create the *direct* story and not deviate so much.

I swore the same thing after X-3, I was so upset about that and how the entire first three movies just shafted Cyclops in favor of well everyone else.

But I have to say First Class and Days of Future Past were both GREAT! I honestly regret not seeing First Class in Theaters. 

 

I loved the ending, won't say anything more than that because spoilers. I also really love the young charles and Magento actors. Charles was all Lt Dan in Future Past which was really cool.

 

The kid playing young Beast should have been cast as young Cyclops because he looks like a young James Marsden imo.

Marcus from Fallout 2 and New Vegas is a cool mutant, and say what you want about Fallout 3, but Fawkes is just as cool.

 

I can imagine the X-Men's reactions if they join the team. Lol.

Everyone hates Fallout: Tactics because it's pure Strategy, not RPG at all.

Went through ALL 6 X-Men Movies, and I'll be seeing Days again tomorrow.

I liked all but 2 of them

Last Stand and Origins are just as bad as I remember them.

Nowhere in the entire multi-verse will those two movies actually be good.

I will never forgive what Last Stand did to most of the entire cast.

And Origins has so many Plotholes it can't even be considered Canon.

I actually saw the movie again a couple days ago, since I had the free movie ticket for it. It's also now the highest-grossing film of 2014 at the moment.

Did it beat out Winter Soldier and Spiderman 2? I'm not surprised - the film was excellent, in my eyes. Best way possible to bury the hatchet of X3, solidify New Class as the canon of choice and bring the entire series forward.

It beat out Winter Soldier when you add in the international receipts by about 3 million now. Winter Soldier was the more successful movie domestically.  Amazing Spider Man 2 was somewhat close on the domestic and international box offices, but in the end made less than both movies by 10 million plus overall, and 24 million (DoFP) and 57 million respectively.

So I've finally seen it, and yea.. it was okay. Could be the best x-men film.

 

Pros:

I love how mutants could actually die in this one, often brutally. Albeit only in the didn't happen scenario.

The ridiculous cameos. Even when the young and old looked nothing alike they insisted on bring back every last actor. Cyclops at the end was hilarious.

Spiky jesus takes a bow. I rolled my eyes and got ready as soon they told us "Only wolverine can go back!". But for the most part he stays at the border of taking over the movie and lets the other characters do enough. It's still HIS movie until pretty much near the end though.

The fights in the future were great and made really creative use of powers. Admit it, most characters in most scenarios in past films would be better off just using a gun.

The visual effects were great apart from beast and his kungfu. The mystique sentinels were awesome.

Pretty neat origin story for McAvoy, it's like a two part origin story for him and Fassbender where the first focused more on Fass.

 

Things:

Soo I guess Quicksilver is pretty much the most powerful mutant in the universe. What is he like 10 times faster than light? Why didn't they just bring him with them and end the movie an hour earlier?

The secret service and army are kinda really inept routinely getting beaten up by a naked girl of average build.

Is Fassbender a robotics scientist.
