ME1: When the fleet charges in to save the Destiny Ascension (Yea, I am a sucker for heroic moments like this)
The obvious ME3 candidates like Mordin, Grunt and Legion (at least when I saw them for the first time).
One that definitely stands out for me and where I got close to actual tears is the end of ME2's Overlord DLC. That is IMO the most emotionally powerful moment n the trilogy. When I first played it, I seat in front of the mission complete screen for a couple of minutes just thinking "Wow!"
One of BioWares best moments if you ask me.

David's screeching, volume-busted voice thought 2/3 of it, really ruined it for me.

- Seeing the child blown to bits on Earth with emotionally manipulative music by Clint Mansell ["Lol"]
- Mordin Curing the Genophage [No]
- Thane dying from his illness [yes]
- Geth and Quarians reunited at last, but Legion dies ["Wut?"] (he dies just for the sake of dying)
- Failing on Thessia and Shepard automatically being over-emotional [-_-]
- Anderson dying [yup]
- The end [yes, but because it ruined everything right before my eyes]
Hmm, somehow I thought it felt corny and forced.MrFob wrote...

Yyyyeah... I mean, I felt for the poor bastard, but I had to laugh at his spaz-attack every time I replayed the mission.
lol.

-The end of the citadel DLC, I still wasn't ready to say goodbye
-Thanes death. I was confused about the prayers as I didn't think thane needed forgiveness, then finding out they were for Shepard. Touching.
-Squads final good byes, including the evac before heading up the beam.
-Memorial scene during the EC
-Grunt's final stand, that turned out to be not all that final.
-Mordin's death and the curing of the genophage.

- Got watery eyes when the Citadel was revealed for the first time (in my first play-through), it was beautiful and the music was perfectly fitting the scene.
- Again, watery eyes when the Virmire survivor scene plays out before the final explosion. In my first play-through it was Kaidan and at the time I thought he was Shepard's buddy. I have to say that having to choose between saving one or another was gut wrenching. But I would have liked it if they'd also done that in ME3's Thessia mission as it was supposedly originally planned. Ironically, in my opinion, a scene like that would better fit in ME3 since it's obviously the darkest of the trilogy, the Reapers are here and death will inevitably happen, either from them or Cerberus.
- I myself felt really bad for Liara after we killed her mother (well, me and my two teammates including Liara). The thing is I brought Liara with me for that mission. The problem, however, is that Liara's reaction was nothing but awkwardly indifferent and cold, it got me by surprise, it wasn't that much of a big deal, and Benezia's death scene per se was rather weak in trying to provoke any emotions. But with this said, nonetheless, I was immersed as I was role-playing my hearts out and felt a tear in my eye because my Shepard felt (in my role-play) responsible and considered the mission a failure. In future play-throughs, however, the scene became irrelevant.
- The arrival of the Alliance fleet and them engaging the Geth fleet and proceeding to save the Destiny Ascension. That, with the music, was perfection, in my opinion. I was very excited but still emotionally-driven by the whole progress of the story at that point. It felt like the clock was ticking and we only had a minute to save the galaxy by getting to the control room and defeating Saren. I was already extremely immersed prior to the fleet arrival scene, but when it played out I literally stood up and yelled "F- YEAH!!!", and I had a tear in my eye whilst doing so.
- I remember having having some tears after saving the hostages on X57 (Bring Down the Sky), Kate gives a short, yet humble and emotional speech to Shepard.
ME2
- Intro, Normandy attacked, barely enough time to process what's going on while trying to play inside a heavily-damaged ship. The Normandy was "our girl", our baby, not just Joker's. It felt like a crew member (the ship itself) was being tortured and I couldn't do anything to help it. That entire scene was extremely well crafted, a good impact on emotions, it was provocative. I got the tears in my eye the moment I saw my Shepard loosing hold and getting blasted into the vacuum of space, just preceded by Joker's desperate "Shepard!" line. And then the rest, with silence as the camera zooms out... awesome scene (still, I don't like the fact that Shepard died to start with, but awesome scene on its own regardless).
- In Tali's loyalty mission in ME2, I cried all my body's water when she sees her dead father, her voice acting was top-notch and coupled by the Paragon hug interrupt, it gets me every time.
- In the Overlord DLC, upon seeing David Archer in the final room after the battle... it was painful to watch, it teared me up a bit I certainly remember that well. It was one of the rare cases in which the "latent" Renegade in my otherwise Paragon Shepard (Paragade) would have easily surfaced had BioWare actually bothered to give something Renegade enough to do against that mad scientist brother, what a ****.
ME3
Disclaimer: I've finished ME3 only one single time, it was pre-Extended Cut and I've never downloaded the following major DLCs (Leviathan, Omega, Citadel). What I do still clearly remember of my first and only ME3 play-through to this day is that for nearly 80%+ of the game the primordial feeling was depression, and perhaps despair. It was dark, gritty, barely fun or funny, with the exception of a few rare situations. I rarely felt "sad" and I think I had only one or two "watery eyes" situations...
- I did get a tear in my eyes during Mordin's sacrifice, well done scene, farewell you crazy Salarian.
- I nearly teared up, NEARLY so... when Grunt proceeded to fight - apparently to the death - so that I could get out of there alive. Then the whole "Ok maybe it's time to get some water in your eyes now" process was just starting its magic when out of nowhere BioWare decided to go "Naaaaaaaaah, just felt like trolling you, hehe!" mode on me and pushed Grunt out of there alive as well with a flesh wound and supposedly hungry as well. What a troll scene that was, the irony is that it could have easily been a very genuinely poignant scene had he actually sacrificed himself. When I think about that scene today I can only shake my head... "What a waste" I still think.
- The allied fleets arrival at the Charon Relay, it kinda felt awesome and I teared up since I then realized that I was watching the single scene which I knew (we all knew) would eventually happen "somewhere in the trilogy" right from the moment I was watching ME1's credits roll on screen. I knew that "One day, whatever we'll do in the trilogy, it will ultimately lead to some allied forces going together against Reapers" and there it finally was five years later. It was a nice scene, but too short in my opinion. Still, watching it again today still gives me chills.
- Anderson's "goodbye" (death) scene, "You did good, I'm proud of you", that one was good, felt something there, a tear or two, sure... and then... well, I won't bother with the rest. Let's just say that "the rest" screwed up an otherwise awesome scene. Yep, Shepard, those were the best seats in the house, that's until a magic elevator decides it's time to scew things up for the coming ten minutes.
That's about it (by heart anyway, maybe I'm missing a few others but I doubt it).

Haha add 1 more for this sentiment
After playing the trilogy once, the only moment that made me misty was running towards the beam, Tali getting toasted on the way and then her saying "I have a home..." before I sprint into the beam

Thane's death/prayer and Andeson's death and final words gave me a lump in my throat, but that was it. usually found sad, emotional scenes to be forced and overly dramatized.

Not sure if I should blame EA or the idiot who leaked to begin with. I bet the one who leaked has gone underground.cerberus1701 wrote...
The ending.
Because with all the info on the disc and all the leaked stuff later it's clear that an epic (or at least fitting) ending was 4-6 months away and was sacrificed for EA's quarterly report.

The leak basically just confirmed what everybody knew with the glut of voice files already left on the disk. That happens in every game, but for ME3 most of it was ending related that pointed to a huge glactic confrontation on Earth with the Reapers.
The leak was just the cherry on top of the "We shipped an unfinished game." sundae.

Edit: FemShep and romanced Garrus final goodbye at Earth. It was fittingly sad, with touches of hopefulness.

None. Games haven´t striked that cord in me yet.
Go play The Walking Dead then. 5 quid says you get, at the very least, very emotionally distressed from its ending. Unless you don't or can't feel any emotion, in which case I'm sorry.

That choked me once only, and it was not durin game play, it was the promo video, but in game, that whole thing is spoiled by the lead up to it and then manifested as starbrat.wolfhowwl wrote...
To this very day.
Mordins sacrifice was definitely a choker, but it also made me angry, you get paragon action that means nothing in my opinion.
Legion was not a choker, but certainly a sad one.
In my first play through of ME2 I'd lost some squadies in the mission, it's when Shepard is looking at the burial caskets, that choked me.
