The BSN seems to have an odd fascination with killing anyone they don't like.

What did the Qun ever do to you? Oh wait. I forgot. No. Go ahead. Have fun.

I'm very excited to travel with Varrick again, and I'd definitely like to see Oghren, Bodahn and Sandal making an appearance. And that lunatic from Awakening who was obsessed with explosives. Hell, just give me more crazy dwarfs and I'll be happy!
Other than that, I just really hope they'll be able to pull everything neatly together. DA:I sounds like a pretty ambitious project, and I'm concerned that it'll feel very unfinished even when it's finally out.

Yes, it is rather disturbing. Anything that can't be romanced must be slaughtered, according to the BSN most days.

Oh, I'd say my biggest hope is definitely that I hope I'll be able to use it for role-play, despite the voiced protagonist and dialogue wheel. I mean, if i didn't hope for that - what am I then doing here?
Other hopes are rather insignificant beside that. But I suppose I expect/hope to find a game that is a little bit more classic Bioware than Bethesda.
Would be cool if they managed to fit in a masquerade ball, but whatever interesting going on will be fine.

That I'm going to connect with the Inquisitor as much as I did with my Warden - and she's not going to end up feeling like another defined character who just happens to kind of listen to what I tell them to do like Hawke did to me.

Good story, fun, yet challenging gameplay, interesting characters.
Not much, I guess!

A nice long 30-40 hour amazing story with decisions that matter and impact the game. I also want an ending with closure that differs depending on your choices throughout the game series. Am I asking for too much? It IS an RPG right?
*edit* more
I also want Dragon Age to finally have good, mature romance scenes. The one's in DA:O just looked awkward and the DA2 one's were just boring fade to black nonsense. I hope they do more in the style of Mass Effect, you know, showing some skin but doing it so that certain lighting/shadows cover up the parts we don't need to see in a game.

The ability to play the game over again and have each run through feel unique and have things I did not see in other runs.
Dragon Age Origins had that where as Dragon Age 2 honestly felt like it did not.

As long as they don't want to do both, there is still hope.Fast Jimmy wrote...

Well, since you're asking.....I would really like a game that includes All of these.....
Dragon Age (story and characters), plus Skyrim (amount of game content), plus Oblivion (enemy diversity), plus KoA Reckoning (combat), plus Dragons Dogma (Mage And Sorcerer spell animations), plus ability to craft "over -the-top" robes, armor ,weapons and "chainmail bikinis", plus more Isabela, Miranda, and Kasumin style ladies to love.
Might as well go big or go home.

We're not allowed to do it in real life, so of course we want to do it in games.

There are quite a few things that are important to me, but an engaging story and decisions that actually matter in the end are at the top.
Playable qunari has already been checked off my list, so we're already off to an excellent start.
