i have noticed that. I guess in a sense I can see it, if a game has only characters you like living, you don't feel like anything can go wrong in the end maybe? But I like having the conflict of not liking somebody but still acknowledging that they are useful people to have on your side (for DA:I, I would recruit Anders, because he can make a tough choice, and those are the kind of people I hope I can have in the inquisition)

Specialisations to be more prominent in character interaction. Fear the blood mage!
Also, I'd LOVE to have the primal school of magic incorporate dalish/ plant manipulation spells. In the comics, yavana can do it, and I'd like to role play a dalish elf inquisitor.

I want each race and their background to feel authentic and immersive.
If they do decide to have any previous PC make an appearance I hope we can keep there looks other than that I don't care what they sound like.
Also I hope all companions are a good fit for each Inquisitor I make.

What I meant by they'll sort of get their wish is that there aren't any orgin stories in the game, but there will be backgrounds that aren't choseable and are dependant on what race+combination we choose.
They are essentially just our past history like the ones in the mass effect series but unlike them we should be able to explore further in the game i believe they mentioned it in one of the podcasts.
As for where they confirmed it, playable race podcast at nerd appropriate about the 38 minutes mark

Decent facial hair in the character creator.
Long hair for males in the character creator.
Scars, piercings and tattoos for the character creator, and not just for the face.
Headgear that isn't terrible.
Lots of sleek, sexy armor options in a wide range of colours.
Acrobatic combat animations for the close-combat rogue, similar to what Dragon's Dogma had for the Strider/Ranger/Magick Archer/Assassin.

As to the OP, I'd like to see a nuanced approach to the mage/Chantry conundrum, as opposed to offering one extreme [FREEEDAHHHM] or theother [get thee to a nunnery, mages]! As of now, that's the only DA subplot I'm at all invested in.
I also hope they retain DA2's RPG elements. I really liked how they worked.

Another ides would be a shield finisher standing over a fallen enemy and driving the edge of your shield into a vulnerable point (the shield design could also factor into damage output depending on if it has sharp corners for piercing damage or a round style shield for blunt damage.
