I am not at all concerned with what others have as long as they have obtained it fairly. For me it is hard to grasp that so many seem to be so ok with people obtaining maxed manifests by hacking.
An analogy - if my co-worker got more salary for doing a similiar job than I because she had hacked the corporate accounts or forged her resume, I'd be pretty pissed. Not because she's getting more than me, but because she was getting it unfairly. I have no problem with my coworker getting a raise because she takes on more responsibility, or for doing longer days or educating herself more. But if she obtained it by hacking the system, that'd ****** me off. Because it is unfair. It breaks the system we have all agreed to follow to be able to co-exist peacefully.
And yes, work is co-op too.
It's not really a fair comparison. Stealing from a company effects the company's ability to pay salaries, which will impact workers negotiating those salaries.
Maxing a manifest without paying for it is already part of the existing game model. It's kind of hard to claim that it's the equivalent act when they are obtaining something that anyone can obtain for free.
And forging a resume is very different, too, since it is potentially taking a job from a more qualified candidate, which negatively effects the workplace.
Someone having a maxed manifest techincally benefits the gaming community, and helps them contribute more effectively to a team.
