[Fnord Lightbringer II]

Is it just me or my internet connection or is there a ginormous increase of PUGs lately where the host just leaves in the middle of the game?

I was hoping the bottom of the barrel was reached when I started getting all those gold and platinum PUGs that are obviously way out of their league.  Like, going to war with a Katana I, a Shuriken I and a  Pistol Amp I and no consumables.  Then go down every 10 seconds and expect somebody to walk all over to the other end of the map and rescue them.  So I kinda sorta get the impression that all the host leaving is happening because the host is unhappy with the revive performance of his fellow teammates.  Could be wrong though, I haven't gotten any complaints yet.

I wouldn't mind so much if I didn't forfeit my invested consumables.

Oh?  I'll double check.  I was certain I lose my consumables.

Usually not. You sometime have to reequip them but usually don't lose consumables. Dpad items though you can lose more than normal.

I also have a huge increase of being dropped into games in progress lately.
I almost never get a lobby anymore.

Do these people not realize how bad their behavior is?  You take the opportunity from me to select a class that harmonizes well with the rest of the team, and that is effective against the chosen enemy, or works well on the chosen map.

And then, most of the time, when the match is over, you see that the hoster of the match is that N7 13 battlefield 3 soldier that kept going down all the time.  I wonder how this played out.  Maybe the guy started a lobby, people joined, left immediately when they saw how unprepared he was for gold, and instead of getting the message he just starts a match so he can get carried anyway?

I thought the final consensus was that your consumables got repopulated but you did indeed lose the previous ones?

Im usually low on Rail Amps so I notice how many I have before I go into a game.  If the host leaves and I still have all four spots filled,  I check again after the match and the number is the same

It's happened to me a few times recently, tho tbh, a couple times I became host and was super glad of it.

I had actually been thinking the same thing lately. The nice thing is, I don't go through nearly as many equipped consumables this way, but it still gets annoying, especially since they usually tend to leave right after you finish an objective.

And Fnord, you are not the only one to have a hard time finding lobbies, as opposed to just dropping in to in-progress games. Last night I played 5 games. I only saw one lobby the entire time. Join a game in progress, and when it ends, the host leaves while I am still on the score screen.

I've been seeing folks (host and non-host) drop out of games a lot lately. Though I'm wondering how many of those are getting disconnected mid-game. I've lost my connection to the servers and had my Xbox frozen several times this month.

I've seen the usual amount of PUG players drop mid-game, but the only time in recent memory that a host dropped was when my friend's internet died. Other than that I can't remember the last time a PUG host dropped for me.

Edit: On Xbox I might add.

Had the message 3 times in one game today! Really annoying, and left me to solo to wave8 gold with a Volus Engineer O_o

My dh and I have both had an uncommon amount of disconnects in the past few days, and also a lot of games where the host or other players just drop mid-game. The disconnect must be brief; by the time we get back to the menu screen, we can usually connect again. (PC)

Shooting a brute with a sponge like harrier because you lost you're AP ammo, or the N7 slayer sucking because you lost your incendiary or disruptor ammo!

I've had more disconnections in the past two weeks than in the past six months combined. I put the blame on my ISP, but I've also had a few games where the host disconnected on wave 10 or extraction. It sucks. Hopefully it will all get sorted soon by our ISPs.

I've been getting a lot of hosts leaving during a game but the thing I'm seeing the most is people that create games and then go do something only to **** about it and quit when the game started without them. My connection is not great for hosting but I'm thinking about hosting more games to get away from these idiots.

If you get host you keep them if not you lose them in game but they're back when you return the lobby.  I've lost other gear (cyclonics/AMs) though when I could not connect to the new host
