I'm not very knowledgable at all on the subject of computers or hard drives so I would likely not know what anyone is talking about if they go into specifics, but I need to upgrade my old PS3. I've got the backwards capatable model from the beginning of the generation and I do not want a second PS3 when this one works like new. I'm currently re-buying a lot of the games I used to have on XBox for PS3 since (1) Microsoft's current behavior/policies have made me not want to bother with them at all this generation, (2) Sony's customer service has bent over backwards while Microsoft's merely went "buy this. Doesn't help? Well, too bad.", and (3) had a break-in that took most of my games (among other things) while I was at work a few months back. I had my PS3 in storage since I never played it so it was spared.
I do have a 500 GB external HDD that can be plugged in via USB but I don't know if it works or how to make it work. I also can't seem to find any answers on bigger HDDs for the fat 60gbPS3.
How do I upgrade my old fat PS3 hdd?
