DO NOT expect to be able to get the terminus items early.....it's just not going to happen.

They WON'T give it out until you pick up the the game....fully paid for....and then chances are that bonus may be sealed in the game case as did most of the games I preordered from them last year had.

I doubt it is sealed in the box. I was afraid of that too, since I got my CE through amazon, but GameStops's website says:
Online Customers: A code and instructions on how to download the exclusive gun and armor will be emailed when the game ships.
Store / In-Store Pickup Customers: A pre-order card containing a
code and instructions on how to download the exclusive gun and armor
will be available at time of pick-up.
No reason for them to email you the code if it is sealed in the box. Just my thoughts though.

That's a default statement......always the same.....if the code is sealed in the game box you'll just get an email telling you that.

I hope BioWare does the mail order package deals themselves, I wouldn't trust Gamestop with a piece of chewing gum I found inside the rim of a public washroom toilet.
They've always been trustworthy in my experience and I've dealt with them for over 5 years. They are as good as their word.

When I bought Forza Motorsport 3, the code to download new cars and tracks wasn't sealed. It was loose in the box.
But the case should have been tightly wraped in plastic....if it wasn't you should have asked for a sealed one.

I wouldn't say. Once I pre-ordered a game from them. When I got there I learned they had sold my copy and I had to wait 3 days for a new one. My recepit was fading. So When I went there again and handed them the receipt, they didn't believe me. They made me recite my address and name and phone number. I almost didn't get me game. Sometimes they can't be trusted.

Yea the case was wrapped. I thought you meant the code inside the case.

I've had a different experience. I meant EB Games the Canadoo version. I remember pre-ordering MGS3, and none of the pre-order content came with it. Then when I bought MGS4, the Blu-ray was split right in half... Etc.
Just a handful of instances, but I hates them. Mostly their dumbtarded employees. I'm sure any other EB/GS is more competent, but the ones in my area just aren't.

Fair enough. If it is sealed in the box, I suppose I will just do without, especially since the armor can only be worn by Shepard and I will already have access to Dragon Age, Collectors, and Cerberus armor.

I don't know that you can use GameStop as a blanket term for every store. I've been to and worked in several of them and they all run a little bit differently. It really depends on who the staff is. And it seems to be the trend now, that they package the dlc card inside the game case. To try and cut down on the people who just reserve to get the code and then cancel. Since they won't give a return on an opened new item or something.
The one in Fresno, CA puts the code inside the case after you buy the game.

They are obligated to hold a copy for you for 48 hours. If you failed to show up in 48 hours then it's your own fault. They ARE a business so you need to be aware of what your obligations as a customer are as well. As for not believing you and misstreatment you should have taken the name of the employee and called the GameStop customer support line to report him/her.

We are not supposed to hand out the Pre-order cards, because sometimes we only get enough for those who pre-order it. Douche Bags like the original poster who pre-order and grab usual take a code away from someone who did pore-order and didn't cancel.
Not to say thats always the case, there are a lot of douche employees who hand out cards to their friends or even sell them online. Suffice it to say if I get any extra cards again for this release and you are interested or got cheated out of yours send me a PM.

Yeah it used to be that the codes would get sent out seperate from the games, but now, like Assassin's Creed II, they have them pre packaged with the code. Not saying that's how it's going to be with Mass Effect 2. For instance, Army of Two the 40th day's code was seperate.gmartin40 wrote...

I went the day it came out. THEY sold my copy. That's why this time I'm going early in the day to pick it up before someone can get their dirty paws on my game.

They don't do this with *every* game....but they are doing it with moreand more each year. 3/5 games I bought last year had the codessealed in the box. 1/5 had no preorder bonus promotion at all.
