White letters appear on the top of the screen when console is enabled. Anyone know how to make it disappear/invisible. It never appeared on my previous laptop, but it does on my new one. It distracts gameplay for me!

I meant the set of random white letters that appear whenever the console is enabled, not the actual console commands. For me, the console commands are invisible.

So are the letters there all the time or only once you've actually pressed ~ to bring up the console?

I've also never encountered a mod that requires the console to be enabled... mods are capable of injecting scripts all on their own, they shouldn't need the console at all.

The letters appear after I press ~ like you said. They disappear after I press 'enter' again when the console becomes disabled in-game.
I need it because some mods have to be activated through the console.

Right, that's standard for the console... just put it away until you need it?

For that matter, how are you even playing with the console open. Any keyboard commands will go to the console instead, so you can't WASD to move or anything.

That's true, if the console is always open, the character can't move. But I'm talking about activating the console, typing in a console command, deactivating the console and then continuing gameplay.

The period during which I'm enabling the console and typing in the console commands is when I see 3 to 4 rows of random white letters on top of the screen.

I simply want to know if there's anyway to make them disappear.

OK... I just didn't think the letters being there for a few seconds could be that annoying.

Regardless, the link jeffonl posted should both make what you type visible and remove the random letters.

 Didn't work! Both the random letters and the console commands are now visible if I use the mod. I want both to disappear.

That's odd, that mod removed the random symbols for me. Sorry, can't help you then.
