I stopped playing due to Elitists demanding everyone use mods in there raids that pretty much play the game for you.  Was almost impossible to get into a decent raid due to all the mods & UI's people demanded you use at the time.... gear score & gear check just killed it in the end since you were not even allowed to play the game the way you liked or you got kicked for someone in top end gear who turned out was carried by other people and didn't even know how to tank.

Sounds like you were in a ****ty guild.

That or pugging during Wrath of the Lich King, where many pugs would ask to you have a gearscore that meant you barely even needed anything from that raid anymore.

It's better for that now with LFR since the game puts the group together for you, although as I said it's had a bad effect on the community(LFR's difficulty level is also very low).

Really though for raiding, ideally you do have a guild with good people in it.

It was the entire Realm I was on.  I had some runs where the leader would say "Ya you can come with us.... but you can't roll on anything as the items are all spoken for."

and the guilds I got in seemed to follow 1 of two formulas:

- Starts of really good
- Some internal drama with the leaders happens breaking the guild up
- Drama follows most members making it hard to find ( my one friend left the game completely cause this drama led to online stalking)

Formula 2:

- Starts of appearing really good
- Turns out that the guild has a tier system meaning only ceratin people actually got to run for the high end stuff
- Everyone else was "Suggested" to work on mid and low tier stuff to "train" new members.

I sort of liked their storytelling until I realised how much in love they were with their male protagonists, while reducing all of their female ones into bikini-clad hysterics and/or making them intrinsically tied to the male ones. But what can one hope from an MMO?

The roleplaying realms made me miserable. If you think about how many ways people could be horrible in raiding and player-vs-player, there were plenty among the roleplayers as well.
Oh and do not even get me started on guild drama...

I do kind of hope Azshara will get her turn this time.

If it makes you feel any better, the Horde leader currently doesn't wear pants.

and he's not wearing much of a shirt, either.

I really doubt if they'll update the entire engine, although the new player models are supposed to still be in the works as some point, not counting Worgen, Goblin or Pandaren as they're newer.

If the expansion is Warlords of Draenor, then despite the name I have to imagine that it's going to take place on Argus for the most part. We've already been to Draenor(otherwise known as Outlands) so that'd make little sense to go back there, and Argus is the biggest planet we know of for the Legion plus it's tied to the playable Draenei race.

There is also, as you said, the Army of the Light that Velen is preparing to finally fight back against the Legion. With Garrosh kicked off the Horde throne, we might see Azeroth back to it's sort of united state with the Draenei leading that army.

Also, for the Alliance =P

I think, better option for storyline in WoD is unknown regions of Outland. Goblins in Area 52 build a rocket, what could transport them to other regions of Outland. That may suggest, that Alleria and Turalyon is still there. Only known Sons Of Lothar members, what we encounter in game is Danath Trollbane and Khadgar... But this is interesing, that with Cataclysm, Danath is not back to Stormgarde... When the Galen Trollbane was ressurected by Val'Kyr as Forsaken... The most interesing thing is, that Galen is Sylvanas champion.

About roleplay realms... I wish Blizzard can do something with those people, who do ERP. (You know what i mean)

And also, some updates for Brawler Guild is need! Is really nice feature in WoW, and hope Brawler's Guild will be upgraded with WoD release...

By the way... Poor Nazgrim, he was a good guy. :crying:

That could work, although I wasn't aware there was much left of outland after it got torn apart. There was also Kurdran, but we found him in Shadowmoon Valley, and he made an appearance in Cataclysm.

I really wish in cata they'd have had a questline with Danath involving taking Stromgarde back like he promised in BC.

Indeed, poor Nazgrim. At least our Bolvar Fordragon went out in a pretty awesome manner at the end of Wrath =P

The Legion, again? What about N'Zoth and the other Old Gods? They've been playing them up to be the ultimate villains, and every expansion since Wrath has been strongly tied to them (particularly Cata and MoP).

Bah. If this is true, though, I hope they've got something more planned for the Legion this time at least - the return of Sargeras would certainly make things interesting, and would definitely give the Draenei (and pretty much everyone else) a serious cause for concern.

To be fair, they did "redeem" Tyrande of this... at the expense of the Horde.

Remember... We fight against Old Gods in WOTLK. (Yogg Saron forces) Cataclysm. (Mostly N'Zoth forces, since C'Thun was defeated allready with reopening Ahn'Qiraj gates) And now in MoP Y'Shaarj... Well, Sha was created by Y'Shaarj but Garrosh horde also are servants of Old Gods.

Otherwise, i mentioned that command structure of the legion is mostly wiped out. New commanders can rise of course, maybe Varimathras will back? Blizz plz bring back fel reavers! They are cool!

Is possible that Illidan will return. In Blizzcon 2011, Chris Metzen ask fans what characters would like see back. Alot of people then yells Illidan. Later on forums, Chris answers to question what happend to bodies of Arthas or Illidan. That is not sure for 100%... But that indicates possible return...

Otherwise... Now we know, how Illidan control demons... In warlock chain quest for green fire spells, we discover, that Essence Of Soul is created by waters from Well Of Eternity... The first Well... That make control of demons and blood elves, because blood elves seeking the cure for the magic hunger.

WoW reached its apex at TBC, Vanilla was pretty damn good too. I still play it from time to time, cause the other mmorpgs that I've tried doesn't cut it. Plenty of things that sucks about WoW now though, but what else is there? Tried RIFT, GW2, Defiance and the secret world and well, they all got boring quickly and Tera was awful.

I got rid of WoW when cross-realm zones hit. That and it doesn't make sense to continue subbing to a 10 year old mmo when I have GW2 to play on days I want an mmo fix.

Also a bit tired of warcraft's constant "corruption" plots. Everything with the writers (esp. Metzen) has been "corruption" and "taint" since King Leoric in Diablo, if not before that. :P

For those that cling to WoW, hopefully this expansion is fun for you.

WoW still got leader position, but is easy to loose it... Because Blizzard make some mistakes like cross realms, raid finder, flexible raids or even grinding daily quests without any limits... About daily quests, to at some points i ok with that... But grinding reputation to get some epics is horrible... I still better like farm reputations via tabards from WOTLK or CATA.

About the lore... I wish, we can see in next expansion consequences of Siege Of Orgrimmar, since we know who is new warchief and i approve that... DARKSPEAR NEVER DIE!

Otherwise also... I wish see, what happend to Garrosh, since he is defeated... But i guess? Zaela is still live, but after Galakras encounter, her status is unknown... She was run away from battle?

Also worth to mention... That most NPC, what Blizz add in vanila times like Overlord Runthak, Mokvar and others... Are slain durning SOO... Too bad, they choose thier side with Garrosh... And poor Neeru Fireblade, since Garrosh execute him in SOO...

I'm amazed somebody felt need to quit because of cross realm zones. World is again filled with life, danger, sense it is a shared experience.

Problem is with low populated realms. Some of them have a really low population, or even consider to call them. "Dead realms" I remember, few months ago in WoW forums, was discussion about Aggra realm in Portugal... Blizzard try to reactive this realm, making free transfers etc. I think, cross realms will not solve the problem, because problem is also in time... WoW slowly getting 10 years active, and this is much time... Some players left, because RL issues, where others blame blizzard for ruin Warcraft lore.

CRZ was the final nail in the coffin for me, more because it felt hacked in rather than because it brought players together. I'd kill something and not be able to loot it because it was on the other side of an invisible CRZ boundary, or I'd see the coast was clear and start running only to be ambushed by multiple enemies after crossing an invisible CRZ boundary. Day would become night and night would become day because of crossing CRZ boundaries. The weather would change too, abruptly. The list goes on. I decided I didn't want to be a paying beta-tester, and hung up my wow hat.

I'm glad others find ways to enjoy the game, but I'm done with it.

The serious problem with RP realms is ERP players... Seriously, in public do ERP? And Blizzard did nothing with them?  In Argent Dawn, i saw several ERP sessions, but mostly in Goldshire... I must remember, to avoid Goldshire, because this place is horrible...

In other hand about Outland... There is no proof, that the rest of Draenor was destroyed when Ner'Zhul open the portals... I think, there is some regions, what we don't know that they exist...  In other hand also, players asking in several ocassions, what happend to characters like Alleria Windrunner, Turalyon, Calia Menethil and many others. And here is a ocassion to see, what happend to Turalyon and Alleria...

In Argent Dawn too, in Goldshire Inn they do it. I think to move from Argent Dawn to Sha'Tar or Steamwheedle Cartel, since in AD, Goldshire is horrible like Moonguard.
