Cory, here's something cool. The Human Sentinel Build Guide in my sig was born directly from the tournament we did with Tendeth and Pugz. I used  the Human Sentinel with the AVenger. Then, I started using it with the Acolyte once the tourney was over.

The resulting build murders Gold (and Plat, too) with even a teensy newbie manifest. I used the build all the time when I was building my PS3 manifest 6 months ago, and all I had were common weapons. :happy:

You clearly know very little about this game, girl (= guy in real life). Why on earth would you use a power magnifier on a character which relies on biotic explosions? Worse yet, why leave out the heavy barrel? Your opinion is worthless. Bow down to something greater than yourself, trick.

I use the Power Magnifier on my Acolyte when I play the N7 Fury. I also use Power Amplifier equipment instead of Cyclonic Mods or Adrenaline mods.

Personally, I always like to use a heavy barrel on the acolyte and cyclonics on the fury, but I suppose it's quite nice to have a more powerful dark channel, I use dark channel very often. I only use power magnifiers on flamers and grenade users.

Because Power Magnifier adds to Warp and Throw's damage on contact, DoT for Warp, and impact damage for Throw.

All of which improves DPS when working with a weak manifest.

Heavy barrel is irrelevant because the Acolyte is being used for Stagger, not DPS. It is adding to survivability by allowing me to wade into groups of enemies while they are staggered by the Acolyte, not to do damage. With the Power Magnifier, damage is achieved through the use of Throw and Warp.

The BEs are situational, because they take longer to set up.

All of which is obvious to people who know how to read.
