I definitely never use cyclonics on a Fury. Adrenaline all the way for me!
For me, the extended clip vs Heavy Barrel is usually a question of rythm. I do it with the Fury, too. I don't find extra damage helps me as much as the consistent rythm of Acolyte to Biotic Explosion that keeps all the enemies staggered and off-target.
