As this generation is soon to pass, post soundtracks from games that will always take you back to that feels when you played them. From the obvious to the obscure, lets hear them.

Oblivion atmospheric music:
Clip One    Clip Two

Dragon Age: Origins: camp theme

Dark Souls: Ornstein and Smough fight (nostalgia doesn't have to be the happy, warm, fuzzy kind)

Mass Effect 2: suicide mission  At 42 seconds you know that its about to throw down

The Saboteur: Feeling Good (remix)

Driver: San Francisco: California Soul (remix)

Pretty much anything off of Rock Band or DJ Hero.

Father & Son, my favorite moment of that game in particular. Ornstein and Smough is my favorite of Dark Souls, but I'm a bit more nostalgic with firelink shrine. And of course, many nightmarish flying objects will be remembered from this track, though I believe it originated from the game Guilty Gear Isuka. Just about all of Mass Effect 1's OST - Noveria, Vigil, The Thorian, The Normandy, etc.

The River of Life from The Witcher, very meditative. Though WotLK didn't do it as much for me in terms of music as Vanilla, Howling Fjord is unmissable in terms of its soundtrack. Burning Crusade's Netherstorm as well. For those who played Fez, it's hard not to get nostalgic about The End Music. Won't spoil anything, but it does fit bizarrely well with the game's ending.

Didn't like Dragonblight's music? I found it great to listen to. I would turn my sound effects off and let the music play when this started playing.

ALL OF THE OBVLIVION OST xD

Good thing the 90's games don't count as this generation. 'Else I'll be spamming this with PST/BG/FO tracks.

Dragon Age: Origins - Ferelden at war Music from a scene that half decently represents a battle? Coming off the back of Skyrim's laughable Stormcloak/Imperial conclusion, this was pretty memorable.

Mass Effect Galaxy Map Must have just sat browsing the map and listening to this for about an hour the first time I heard it.

Monster Hunter Freedom: Unite - Tigrex theme Loads of Nostalgia here. About 5 quests in, the game tasks you with climbing a mountain to find some herbs. Simple enough. Grabbed the last one at the peak, only to fall off the edge, land, look behind me, and find a damn Tigrex right there. Cue theme and the narrowest of escapes.

Halo 4: 117  A little recent to be considered nostalgic, but still. In co-op, flying the ships out of the trench during the finale as the music peaks and Earth comes into view... My favourite music piece because of it.

Animal Crossing: Wild World - 1AM  Whenever I couldn't sleep, I'd boot up Animal Crossing and just....wander and listen to the music. Probably heard the 1-3 AM tracks more than any others.

Compared to previous generations, this one's a bust for me. But then again...

999 - Morphogenetic Sorrow

Fire Emblem Awakening - Divine Decree (Ablaze)

TES IV: Oblivion - Auriel's Ascension

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen - Death Theme

For me, the track that sends me back every time is this, hands down.

Guild Wars 2 - Track 73

Even though I didn't like Guild Wars 2 compared to the first one, the soundtrack is still beautiful.

LIMBO - Gravity Jump

The part at 3:02 is just... beautiful. That whole soundtrack is just somewhere else, I love it.

Journey - Reclamation

The feels.

Mass Effect 2 - The Long Walk

Reminds me of Jack.

Mass Effect 3 - Hope

Only good thing about the game, lololol.

Skyrim - Watch the Skies

Will always give me goosebumps.

TLOU - Vanishing Grace (Childhood)

Giraffes :(

Beyond: Two Souls - Black Sun

:(

- There are a lot more tracks, but I'm lazy.

The Witcher - Road to Vizima. There was a very creepy atmosphere going around the 'Fields' area of Murky Waters that pretty much wedged this eerie sound into my head for good.

The Witcher - Tern Island/Lakeside (Night) - The original Witcher had some seriously outstanding atmospheric tunes.

Red Dead Redemption - Born unto Trouble - That eerie whistle while riding across the countryside at night...dayum.

Red Dead Redemption - Far Away - Theme of one of my favourite moments in games.

Dragon Age Origins - Character Generation - As someone who spends hours in the character gen, this beautiful theme was much appreciated. :S

Dragon Age Origins - Calenhad Docks - Another really pretty atmospheric theme.

The Last of Us - All Gone (No Escape) - Dat moment where everything else fades out and this starts playing...

Assassin's Creed 2 - Ezio's Family - Really set the stage for the feel and setting of the game. Dat intro, too.

Assassin's Creed - Damascus - For all of AC1's flaws, riding up onto the cliffside and seeing Damascus stretching out before you with this playing was a pretty memorable moment.

And probably most of all...

Skyrim - Sovngarde -Despite the disappointing final sequence of the main quest, I don't think anyone can deny that trooping into Valhalla with this in the background was pretty bone chilling.
