I have disowned my 360, I actually bought it to play the Mass Effect series when it was still exclusive to the 360.

Now I find myself wanting to play through the ME trilogy again but having bought all three games and every bit of DLC, I see the current trilogy as a bit of a rip off as it doesn't include quite a lot of content, I hear?

I would have thought it would have included at least all of the DLC for the first two games.

Anywho, I just thought I'd return to this forum to see if there have been any whispers of a complete and reasonably priced edition with all ME content? I think I'll go with the PC this time. I would love to play the trilogy on my Wii U with all of the cool gamepad stuff as well as miiverse integration. But that'll never happen.

I think the PS2 version of the Trilogy has more DLC with it (due to the BlueRay capacity, I'm sure. Maybe they just didn't want to overwhelm the 360 users with a bunch of discs).

edit: PS3, I mean. Heh

I tried out ME2 on my brother's PS3 and I thought it ran rather horribly. The audio cut out, the performance stuttered and lagged in some places. Sort of ruined it

I heard there were problems like that. And PS3 apparently doesn't run UE3 based games as well.

It's been a while since Bioware did a complete edition for one of their games, Dragon Age: Origins was the last one I think. Back in 2011 I read something about how the DLCs in the PS3 version of ME2 were included to make up for ME1 not being on the PS3 at the time. Not sure if true but it makes sense. If a complete collection is planned it'll probably happen when DLC sales go down. The DLCs are quite expensive though, especially compared to how much the games cost now.

I think I'll stick with the PC versions, if there's a complete package.

They can't be getting many sales out of what they're currently doing!

It was kind of silly that they didn't hold back on the trilogy edition until all the DLC was out but this way they get more sales.

What DLC is included in the Mass Effect Trilogy?

On PC, Mass Effect will include Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station on disk. For Mass Effect 2, Cerberus Network will be included which features Zaeed – The Price of Revenge, The Firewalker Pack, Cerberus Assault Gear, Arc Projector heavy weapon, and Normandy Crash site mission. For Mass Effect 3, Online Pass will be included granting players access to co-op multiplayer.

On Xbox 360, Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station are not included, however they are available as stand-alone downloads through Xbox LIVE. For Mass Effect 2, Cerberus Network will be included and Online Pass will be included for Mass Effect 3.

On PlayStation 3, Bring Down the Sky will be included both on disc and on the PSN download, Mass Effect 2 will still have the same DLC on-disc that it was originally shipped with: Cerberus Network; Genesis; Kasumi; Overlord; and Lair of the Shadow Broker. Finally, Mass Effect 3 will also be exactly as it originally shipped.

I was hoping for a complete "HD" remastered edition in 5 years for next gen/PC, but I know that went out the window the second the Trilogy edition was announced.

I wouldn't count that out yet. Hell, it might come sooner rather than later.. I hope not 5 years at least.

I think the first game could be spruced up. The other two are just fine but could perhaps run at 60FPS. Which would be nice

They allready should have done that for all platforms + origin and steam. Especially thru the sales on steam with the hollidays coming up but they will be pigheaded in relation to steam. Any way you turn steam is a force to be reckoned with like it or not EA.

I read that EA's PC sales accounted for just over 1% of their total sales this year. Makes you think if trying to compete with Steam is even worth it.

You read it wrong, right now PC is the biggest platform for EA.
