Will we see a return of Ariane, Finn and the Warden's Mabari from Witch Hunt?

You see, in my Witch Hunt ending, I followed Morrigan through the Eluvian, leaving my poor trio of companions stranded in the Dragon Bone Wastes, kind of wondering what the hell happened. Ariane doesn't have her book, my Mabari doesn't have a master and Finn has come all this way without any answers to his questions. It's all very open ended, and chances are they're pretty pissed off and want to settle scores with Morrigan.
Since it's most likely the Inquisitor will meet with Morrigan and work with/ for her, they could turn to the Inquisitor and ask him/ her to help them find Morrigan in a side quest. Ariane will want her book and the Mabari would like to see his Master again (and Finn will probably tag along for the hell of it -- though if he doesn't get with Ariane I will not be happy!), so it makes sense for them to ask help from a character we know Morrigan will have a connection with.
What do you guys think? Do you think this is a likely scenario (considering the amount of DA:O cameos in DA2 I can see them making a return at some point)? How do you see this quest panning out and concluding? Discuss! DISCUSS I SAY!

But, most likely, Finn was slaughtered by Adrian to fuel a Blood Magic spell.

I guess we could run into a dog trying to sniff out his master seeing as the Warden disappears anyway apparently, but that seems kind of...pointless...

Yeah, the dog wouldn't make an appearance if he was with the Warden

Um... wouldn't the dog sadly be dead? It's like 12-14 years after DA:O... How old would the Mabari be?
Well... it is Dragon Age, it has a fantasy setting. BioWare never stated how old Mabari hounds live for...
But if we were going by how old the average dog lives for in real life... you're probably right...
Ouch. Them feels.

Also even if he was laive, he would be with his owner unless he went back to make puppies.

If you didn't know, at the end of the Witch Hunt DLC, if you romanced Morrigan you have a chance of leaving with her. If you do, you leave the Mabari behind with the other two companions. It's likely he stayed with Ariane, at least until he found his master again (however unlikely that is), since she's pretty friendly with him.

Yes I know that, but I don't leave with Morrigan since I only had sex with her in DAO, not romanceAngry British Ace wrote...

No. My mabari is alive. He's strong and fat and he'll live another fifty years if he has to and go with my Warden to his calling. No one can tell me otherwise.
This, damnit.
As for Finn and Ariane, probably not. Shame, in the short time we got to know them they were better than many of the companions in recent Bioware games.

Ariane could possibly show up since we're supposed to learn more about Flemeth and she seemed to know some things about her, also we'll probably be going to see the Dalish at some point who could be doing various things in thedas and due to their connection to Flemeth.

The Mabari must be dead (or at least aged), because large dogs in general only live around 12 years, and that's the time, which has passed since you meet him at Ostagar. But maybe he could have offspring.

Hmm I don't think Finn will be in the game since it was sort of hinted at him dieing at some point by the statue of Eleni Zenovia which according to Laidlaw and Gaider we'll see again so I really don't like his chances, unless he left the circle or something which could be possible.
The statue stated 'we would not meet again.' We does have implications of Finn dieing, possibly never returning to the Ferelden Circle Tower or the statue being gone when he returns.
Also could you link as a quote on what Laidlaw and Gaider said please.

Bioware doesn't do too bad a job of tying up all the plot threads it creates, but Witch Hunt in general was a massive cliffhanger and a pretty poor resolution for DAO. Finn and Ariane could do with some closure, even if it is just in a codex or a mention or something. Chances are they've been forgotten though, along with Sketch and Tug.
Sketch was in da 2 unfortunately another character for delivering more connections between old and new characters making that more and more ridiculous.

^ Tug's dead, Jim. The real character they forgot about here is Snug.
Who i don't know why but reminds me one of dwarf companions from goa and they shoulnd't be bring back we don't need old characters spam thedas don't have 500 peoples to do such things that we must meet half characters from previous game with hi oo i got live here now what a coincidence that you are thrid protagonist i have connections with others two.
