So I'm replaying the trilogy again (again) and I swear these things must generate randomly because I've been to everywhere on the map but Ilos and I'm still 1 League Medallion and 4 Rare Earth samples short... meanwhile I have like 7 extra matriarch scrolls like a dozen extra prothean discs, but I digress...
...does completing these quests get recognized in any way by the other two games? I'm usually a real nitpick about these kinds of things but I'm ready to beat the game and move on to ME2.
Do UNC Quests from ME1 have any War Asset value?

Kind of.. The Matriarch ones do. But they're tied into a couple of other ME1 quests. Don't really want to spoil it for you, if you don't already know.
The other Collections don't really matter.. Unless they will in a future game. I'm doubtful, but I do them anyways.

Well, I'll tell you which quests matter for one particular questline: collect the Matriarch items (10 of them), get the data for Gavin Hossle on Feros, Save Jenna from Chora's Den, and do all the Conrad Verner storyline in ME1 and ME2.
I think that covers it.
As far as I know, collecting the other items don't matter.. unless you're bored and just like being a completionist like me.

I think... Only matriarch, Gavin Hossle quest and Elkoss Combine license are included in ME3. I don't saw other lincenses from ME1 in ME3 honestly, or other quests like Turian insignias or League Of The First.

This all assumes you know to look for Conrad. First couple of times I did that quest I didn't even know I could speak to him before doing it. He just showed up out of nowhere at the end. I had to watch a youtube vid to find out you could speak to him.

Getting those UNC minerals will also boost your mineral count in ME2, which can be transferred over as material for the Crucible in ME3 ( extra war assets)
