Does promoting characters = skill in this game?

No. Challenge points are a better indicator of how much time you've put into the game. Some people stick with level 20 characters for life.
Sometimes to get a N7 number that they like (ive seen a few permanent 420s), i myself am 360 forever

The only thing that stopped me from stopping (derp) at 120 were the weekend challenges. I've been 270 for over a year, and I don't plan on changing that.

It's still not reliable. There will always be players (like me) who chase the numbers.

We're not talking about an N7 of 10k here. Or 20k. Not even 30k. Forget 40k. We're talking almost 54,000 N7. I don't need to add anything else to this.

Am I supposed to be impressed by that N7 rating or something? Just asking.

I thought of reaching that magic number too, but I hate promoting too much.Tokenusername wrote...

It's still not reliable. There will always be players (like me) who chase the numbers.
Also, people who only ever use a handful of kits/weapons will never get any of the Alien and Weapon Challenges done.

Challenges were not implemented until September 2012. Token is an old soul.

I don't think there's such thing as a reliable indicator of pretty much anything in this game. I mean, N7 rank is great at determining how many times you've promoted, and challenge points are a good indicator of how many challenges you've completed, but other stuff doesn't really correlate well.Tantum Dic Verbo wrote...

Doesn't mean that some things don't offer a better guess than others.
