Supposedly dead. His relics still seem to work in legacy, despite him being dead.

I didn't think they drew power from him, though. I thought they were just enchanted items.

Then there's the whole corypheus calling on dumat for power, and getting power given to him almost immediately.

Granted, leilana usually calls on the maker before she goes into battle, same with sten and the qun, so it might just be nothing.

I think that's a better explanation; Corypheus's actions heavily imply that Dumat was capable of and in the habit of communicating with him directly, and also that that line is now dead.

How do we know Dumat is really dead, how do we know which old god is which?

Actually, I'd be disappointed (and surprised) if we get any clear information/resolution about the Maker. What's a fantasy world without a good measure of mystery?

While there are *many* threads I want to see explored and resolved, I'd personally like to see Flemeth remain an enigma, as well. I'd be more disappointed by finding out she's an antagonist. I'd rather she and her motives remain inscrutable.

We don't know which Old Gods are dead or even if some whose bodies wardens "killed" have somehow been resurrected.
I guess we'll find out.

We apparently know exactly which ones are dead; the people who write the Codexes claim that the defeated ones have all been identified, and that the ones who have yet to rise as Archdemons are Razikael and Lusacan. The one who helped Ferelden's nobility tear that country into tiny little pieces is Urthemiel, and Dumat was apparently literally the first one to die. I suppose there's some room for this to be false, but I think it's more likely to be true in the absence of evidence otherwise.

As for coming back from that, it's not supposed to be possible. The Ultimate Sacrifice the Wardens did to destroy Dumat (as explained when weighing the option of doing the exact same thing to Urthemiel, vs. the option of allowing some portion of him to survive via the Dark Ritual) ought to have been reasonably final, even in the context of magic being a thing... unless the Dark Ritual was performed on him, and while I think Flemeth is probably the result of it having happened in the past, I don't think the Ritual to prevent an Old God's death would probably have been invented by this point.
