I don't know if there's anything in this or maybe it's just all down to luck/lag, but is there a difference in the chance of poison strike working off host with less range, particularly when standing in front of an enemy? Ok less range makes it easier to use offensively in cqc, but that it actually works when you press the button (most of the time) is comforting.

Since respeccing from r4 range up to r6 double dash I seem to notice more success in poison striking when in the face of a scion for example. Is it perhaps easier for the game to figure out where to put you at 12m compared to 16.8m (potentially through two walls)? With the longer range I would end up mashing the button in the face of an enemy, only to stand there and die.

I haven't tried the 7.2m version as that's purely offensive (lol) with limited mobility, but for anyone who uses it how responsive do you find it when standing in front of an enemy?

I've always found it significantly more responsive than Charge or Shadow Strike off host... Same thing with Havoc Strike.

I think it works better off host than other powers because it doesn't have to target an enemy.

Hmm, in general (unless bad lag) I find shadow strike to be more responsive in general than max range poison strike when in the face of an enemy, or charge for that matter.

When using poison strike purely for transport then it's all roughly equal.

Unfortunately haven't played the havoc enough to compare with that.

iirc poison strike only checks for enemies directly in front of you. could be wrong, though.
