Prime the target then shoot. Warp gets a bonus against Barriers, Armor, Health. Bonus is doubled if target is primed I believe. No bonus versus shields IIRC. BE targets must be reprimed for damage bonus of warp rounds.

Not a bad job at all. My first gold solo was lolreegard kroguard vs. geth on giant (talk about EZ mode) and it took me 93 mins. You did a pretty good job, congrats!

Nice job but I think you can do better. . Get your rocket strategy planned and get a few good spawns and you'll easily get a better time. Probably would be better off on FBW also. I try to nuke with DS on the early waves for clearance then get good rockets on the elite heavy waves. Also it doesn't matter on time unless it matters to you and if it's something you want to try again your times will get better.

What gear were you running?

Again don't take my criticism as me being douchy. Keep in mind most average players cannot solo without the most simplified setup.

I refer to my Gold solo as "the 93-minute Monstrosity."

So your first one was faster than mine!

CSR is excellent though, you can't go wrong with it.

I tend to prefer the PPR on him as well, but only because it looks cool (style > effectiveness).

I got grabbed way too many times by teleport-through-walls banshees on FBW. Also I wanted to try something other than Kronguard-Geth (well  the real reason is , I tried him on siver 2-3 times, and they stunlocked killed me. ). And I cant play the Juggy.

So I tried FBG and I could not find a proper situation to get a killstreak. My rockets would kill probably a Banshee and a few mooks.

Responder loadout, Warp-ammo 4, Power Amplifier 4, Sniper 3. CSR with heavy barrel and accuracy mod (Cool Down was 71%). If Banshees and husks could leave me in peace , DS-DC-a burst from CSR would kill a brute and all mooks surrounding him. I also carried an acolyte, but never needed it.

average players cannot solo without the most simplified setup// No worries. Like many here I despise solo, and only reason I am doing it to get my banner. It will be a while before i try my Platinum solo.

I find him dishing far more damage with Power build. ( took 20% power damage in passive instead of weapon damage)

Your first gold solo was with a Collector Adept w/CSR...that's awesome dude, damn the time! I can't use either of them, let alone solo with them! Congrats on that.

Its one of few kits I can play. I ran him with 0 in fitnesswhen i dont solo and he is still tanky with Seeker swarm. OTH, I cant play GI, AIU , Drells etc So there. To each his own.

PPR is quite good at level 5. But I like the power build too and run him with the CSMG. What level do you have it at? CSMG is good on him.

Well done on your first, and surviving a sync killer faction. And don't worry about the first length of time as solo'ing is a steep learning curve, making it through to the end requires real discipline. And kudos on the Collector, sure (s)he's one of the most powerful kits there is, few players choose them for their first (successful) solo.

My first two took around 45 mins. I admit I used a Kroguard, though hadn't heard of BSN or the online build website, I just noticed that the Batguard melee seemed to protect me from damage and found the Kroguard did the same, just even better, so inevitably ended up trying a melee Kroguard against Geth as the wisest option with the instant-fire acolyte (Bioware were nerfing it repeatedly to try and stop missile glitching) and got through first time. My only mistake was spec'ing fully in to carnage and not barrier which added 15 mins to the solo; wave 8 bombers forced me to abandon melee entirely so I kited the rest of the game using ranged attacks. Once I started spec'ing barrier instead of carnage those solos dropped to 22-29 mins depending on map and objectives, pure melee throughout, maniacal fun. And no grey hairs.

That all changes once you've been trolled by all 4 Wave 10 devices appearing in the LZ. Phantoms spawn close by then bee-line towards you at max speed without taking cover - missile a pair/trio and another pair are already running at you within in the next 4 seconds forcing you to abandon the device and waste another missile. After 3 missiles you'll realize it's impossible to gain enough time to do do the device, so you're forced to kite those phantoms away to the other end of the map, all the time with dragoons lashing away and double Atlas homing rockets hitting you wherever you kite to. And kiting to the other end of the map only gives enough time for a dash back for one more device before being swamped again by phantoms, dragoons and atlases. There really isn't enough time to do all 4 if you're a foot based character, even spamming 6 missiles and kiting when it's too hot.  Not surprisingly I absolutely hate that map now and won't ever solo it by choice, it's a lottery.

Oh there is, you just haven't kited the Phantoms far enough for that to work out. Besides, there are no Dragoons on w10 Gold - there are 6 on w6, but in this case, you just make killing all of them your priority, then get to the devices.

Ghost is, in fact, one of the best maps to get the devices objective done.

It's pretty good for soloing but there are some irritating things about it:
*Swarms can glitch the back ladder making it unusable. Thanks BW for that.
*Escorts can be utter hell on that map. A few of the hacks are awful.
*Banshees are pretty terrible on that map at coming through the walls.

Still a decent map versus anything but Collectors as long as you have a wall hacks setup.

I thoroughly approve of the character you use =). Reapers are quite slow to solo against, so it's only normal that your time isn't that fast, especially for a first solo. Good job! Glad to see people still challenging themselves at this game.

Aha. The device objective. I was lucky and I got them in good locations, inside the building or edges. On wave 10. Rest 2 were pizza ( and I can't cheeserun). My other attempt failed because Banshees could teleport quick to me and the ravager was in central building. That is why I have great admiration for those who do solo in Glacier. I would give up even on white if is reapers wave 10.

And looking at the speed run gold solo thread. I knew people were good but this good? Lol. They have gold solos in 15 mins? Damn.Lol.

Some of those guys are ridiculous at this game. The Plat solos that are fast are even more mind boggling for me. I've done quite a few of those and I cannot even imagine nailing one down in under 30 mins.

Nah, that is absolutely fine. My first gold solo took me 64mins and my second 47mins. It's normal to play way more defensively in a solo.
