There are some awesome mods for the PC version, like the storage chest
at the camp, some of the HD texture mods, etc. My best friend has the
360 version. Is there a way a regular Xbox 360 (not a modded one) can
install or download these mods and utilize them? And if so How?

Nope

But seriously no there isn't a way. Mods are exclusively for the PC.

there is a way, however it violates Microsoft's XBOX360 terms of use.

I won't go into details or anything of the sort, I don't advise that you do either, if you do it the warranty is broke, you can no longer use LIVE if you do you can and will be banned.

In UT3 on the ps3 you can download and install PC version mods, a neat feature and something MS needs to pick up!

It would be great but I doubt they ever will because they can't charge you for them, everything on xbl cost money now. It's sad too because I would've loved to get some mods for oblivion and a few other games as well.

I share your pain but what everyone else had said is true - no mod goodness for the xbox. I'm seriously considering getting the PC version as well, both for the mods and to play with the toolset

Never be done. Mainly because MS has to verify and check everything to make sure it complies with their 68 million different laws and rules...you know....like when the actual game and then RtO got delayed?

Seriously, and honestly not bashing....buy it on the pc and throw your box on the fire.

Mavi, just curious - do you have the PC version, and if you do are the mods and toolset actually worth buying the game again for?

not sure I would buy the CE if i i already had it for another platofrm Semy....but the normal game for its cost then yes...

I really would struggle to try and explain the difference even 2 or 3 mods can make....plus, if your tech toolset savvy....then basically you could create your own brand new storyline....create a 2 hour machina movie from making cutscenes....

I am biased yes, Will freely admit it, and I hate MS too (unfortunate as use so many of their damn products)....but the restrictions they place upon the xbox and the live service, I struggle to understand why anywone (unless they have no pc of course) would want it (especially it being a rpg) on anything but the PC.

But that aside, yeah I would strongly recommend it Semy, putting platform fanboyism aside, anyone who has or has played both will tell you there is no compariosn, like a diff game alltogether :)

Hope that helps.

When will there be equality for all DAO Gaymers? How difficult can be to offer an Xbox360 DLC of the "Alistair Gay Romance" Mod???

The developers get paid for their time, the pink customers get a better game experience, everyone wins!?!

Come on BIOWARE, try being a game pioneer, and offer a game MOD Xbox360 download in your EA website...!!?

And lose the chance to nickel and dime us with 20 minute DLC. C'mon if we console gamers had modding powers as well do you think half the DLC any dev puts out would fly. Then they would have to compete against us and put effort into it. And someone has to pay for the certification and the servers. Although I don't see why people who have the XMB couldn't mod games. And sell them to the GP. MS could share the royalties and everyone wins.
