I only ever used the Saber with the GI. I've used the Mattock with a bunch of other kits, so I prefer the Mattock.

On potential, yes - the Mattock is better than the Saber.  In fact, if you can consistently max its fire rate and still shoot accurately, it's up there with the Talon, Hurricane, and Wraith in the conversation for best all-around gun on the game.  The problem is that most people don't max its potential.  In my slow trigger hands, I do better with the Phalanx than I do with the Mattock.

The saber on the turian soldier is bad **** especially if you're good with headshots with it...and it tears boss units to shreds. Slap armor piercing rounds on it. whaaat? You're looking at a master piece. The mattock is cool too but it sucks on platinum and it barely makes it on gold

Well, the Mattock is clearly the superior weapon if you measure it´s capability of giving you carpal tunnel syndrome even faster than the sabre does.

@ProC - How is it possible you only have 22 URs to a maxed manifest, and 10 of them are the Lancer???

I mean, damn, that's statistically improbable .. similar happened to me with the Harrier, before the last URs were added, and the promo N7 weapons were lumped with the rest, I was somewhere around 30 URs to go w/o having one ..

Because RNG is LOL. I'm missing 118 URs, but I have every weapon.

Just wait until she maxes every weapon before getting a Lancer, and then gets level V Cyo Ammo.
