^Yep.

Anyway, I'm hoping it does great, but it's not a day one for me. I'm done with Day one purchases from Bioware.

Mass Effect 3 was a last chance, then it was the Extended Cut, now it's Dragon Age Inquisition....

I'm detecting a pattern.

Don't forget ToR. I heard that threat thrown around a lot prior to that game's launch as well.

Bioware doesn't owe me crap. They're not entitled to give me a super mega awesome video game because I feel like "they owe me". They can make a great game for sales or if the game is awesome in their perspective. I loved the DA franchise so far even though DA2 had some blunders, I still love the world. I don't play games that force me to play a male character only. It turns me off that the fact that there's a billion dude protags but not many fem protags. I love DA & ME because of the awesome character creation, dialogue, & plot. It means a lot to me when a developer includes the option to be a female character. So yes, I will be preordering DA:I happily. Since I've been really happy with their past games.

If asked this question many months ago I would say yes since my current mood was to be angry at ME3 and push Casey Hudson into active traffic ( Anger makes one say foolish things.) After some time to be allowed to simmer down I can say no.

Do I despise the route Bioware took with ME3? Yes but I cannot condem all of Bioware for that. I for one liked Dragon Age 2. Sure it doesn't measure up to Origins but for what it was, it was enjoyable. So no. I have not given up on Bioware. They have made many games of which I am fond of. I am by no means the fan boy I once was. I would like to believe that Bioware can still produce a quality story. I'll even give ME4 a try if good things are heard. But no. Bioware will need to pull another ME3 ending level of bad for my resolve to be shaken.

Bioware produces games that I like and games that I love. As long as that remains the case I will continue to buy their games. I also have enjoyed the work of other game producers such as Naughty Dog and CD Projekt Red.

What might make me stop buying a game from Bioware is if they produced a game with the levels of problems Skyrim had. There was something terribly wrong with the game for many PS3 players. My game froze so much that I could not finish it. There have been at least 9 patches, and still there are bugs and problems for many. The apparently lack of Quality Assurance will certainly make me think twice about trying another product by that company!

I've haven't played a bad (or even mediocre) Bioware game yet, so no, no "last chances" here.

Well, IMO DA2 was awful trash, ME3 I've decided to not bother with following what most of my friends think of it, and TOR I had no interest in to begin with. The last 'great' game I feel that Bioware made was DA:O (yeah, I wasn't really a huge fan of even ME2).

That said, I don't really believe in 'last chances' - it is entirely possible that Bioware will make another excellent game in the future. Bioware is firmly off my list of companies that I would purchase a game on day 1 with little hesitation however. Whatever they release from hereon will have to be reviewed (by the community) as being excellent before I'd be willing to even think about purchasing it.

Whereas (seeing as it seems to come up a lot as a yardstick), The Witcher 3 will without a doubt be a day 1 purchase for me.

Not really. In the end, games are still just entertainment to me. If this one doesn't live up to my expectations, boo hoo, maybe the next one will. I don't consider something failing to entertain me a betrayal that I should give up on a company for.

Going to have to wait and see. Bioware's last really great game for me was DAO. And ME3's ending actually managed to destroy the entire trilogy for me. So, pretty low on trust atm.

I'm not so obsessed with a single game developer that I must either love all their products or abandon them forever. I'll buy the games that appeal to me and pass on the ones that don't.

I long ago came to terms with the fact that, sooner or later, every favoured business will produce a product that I do not enjoy or have no interest in. It is statistically inevitable.

As long as they continue to provide same-sex romance options, I'll probably keep buying Bioware's games.

Before DA2 or after?  Don't get me wrong.  You always have a group of people that have hated on every game ever made, especially depending on the site, but I don't really remember as much negative talk on the BSN before DA2 was released (well, before the demo and stuff getting leaked anyway).

DA2 is actually one of the only reasons I want to get DAI. I don't care what anyone says I think it was a fantastic game. I understand there were some issues with it and I understand many people (erroneously) thought it was supposed to be another DAO (which was also darn good). I can tell you with all certainty tho that DA2 changed the way I looked at video games and is solely the reason I want to get DAI.

I never got into ME2 because I don't play shooters therefore I didn't play ME3 but I understand there was a lot of complaints about the storyline in ME3 but that being said, it would never influence my decision to buy DAI because it is a totally different universe.

I have many "concerns" about DAI and am going to wait to purchase it until after its been out a while purely on "story line" and "character development" issues. Tho I am 90% sure I will eventually get it.

I go on a game by game basis. Every studio puts out **** games from time to time. I only really like maybe 1/4 of the games Bioware has made, they still have made some of my all time favorites though.

I actually enjoyed the ME3 ending, but that's probably because by the time I got my copy they had already done the extended cut so my experience wasn't the same as a lot of other people. By the way I chose Destroy because after everything my Shepard went through she decided that the galaxy was better off without the reapers and their catalyst. I also enjoyed DA2 quite a lot. I thought that they did a good job with the companions and the overall story arc. Yes there were things I didn't like about it (the same cave everywhere, etc) but overall it was a really fun game. My OTP is my loyal, caring, utterly sarcastic, mage supporting FemHawke rogue and Isabella! So I guess what I'm trying to say in this round about way is that no DAI will not be Bioware's last chance for me.

well personally that ship has sailed for me in me3, but I will follow DAI very closely to see if bioware has "changed their ways" (highly unlikely).

Then perhaps I may buy the game after that secondhand.

This is where I am at as well.  ME3 was (for me) Bioware's "last chance" and they blew it.   By that I mean is that I'll no longer pre-order Bioware games nor trust the pre-release commentary, trailers, or demos.  I'll wait until real people play it and I can get some unvarnished feedback.  If it's good then, I'll consider DAI and future Bioware titles.

Last chance?  Only if I want to fireball  "my best entertainment options"  to ashes.

Bioware has a mature elegance combined with interactive deep detailed story-telling that no one else can touch. (No, I wouldn't call the Witcher series elegant.)
And Yes, the female RPG VO option is critical, and the romances are serious selling features.
Each instalment was different - but all enjoyable in their own way.

I'll stop before this degrades into an analytical rant at "some fans" with their melodramatic "last chance" declarations.
