I need to create a bunch of commoners. I was looking for a tool that might easily generate a bunch of random ones for me, but I cannot find such a tool and doubt one exists.

My next choice is to filch a bunch of commoners from some other mods...

I don't know of a tool or plugin to generate blueprints of random NPCs, but there are packs of blueprints of NPCs on the Vault that you can import and use.  Some are grouped by theme.

There's also this, that randomises the head/hair/clothes/names of the NPCs whenever the module is loaded, but does not generate blueprints.

What I did, was get some packages from the vault. Storyteller has Norse Npcs, and Desert Folks and many others. Also, there is a commoner pack, I don't remember from whom... I am not in my building PC now. Once I have the basic blueprint, I make some small modification to it if needed. For example use a Desert Folk by just changing the name to my preference, but giving credit to Storyteller for the blueprint. It saves some time.

What I do is stick different hats and clothes in their inventorys then make a few blueprints of males and females, dot them around the place and swap clothing and appearance. After the first blueprints each one will take you less than a minute to make and if you give them a generic conversation like peasant_1 then make a whole heap of conversations (peasant_1,peasant_2 etc ) and swap the last number then they're all different.

Thanks you guys. I appreciate it. I just looked at the vault and saw some of the packages referenced. It will get the job done, for sure.

I like the one that is somewhat randomized, at least as far as clothes, etc. I think I'll probably use that with some tweaks.

I also like the adolescent pack....

In my King's Festival campaign I have a spawn script that can be set on commoners so that it randomizes their skin color, height, and clothing when spawned. You occasionally get a duplicate, but it works pretty well. Look in the campaign folder for the bb_setspawnflags_sp.NSS script.

If in doubt, looking for any useful scripts, check Kaldor Silverwands' campaigns. :) Lots of innovations there. I regret that I forgot about seeing those randomised characters.

Apeps package is what I used for Crimmor to randomize my commoners., in addition to what tchos said, it also will randomize voices.

kamal_! Nice, I like the Apep stuff. Simple and easy.

First try they worked, but they produce names when I don't want them to. I have the flag set proper... not sure of the issue at the moment. Going to try restarting the toolset.

But I like. Easy, simple. Good deal.

Thanks for the suggestion man. I had time to work with Apep's this morning and it was perfect. Exactly what I was looking for.
