Anyone else wonderinf if we get to see female Turians in ME2? I hope we do, because if I remember correctly the reason they were cut out of ME1 was because of memory and space issues. So considering ME2 is two disks I hope we can see them. Anyone else agree?

This. I'm still scarred from seeing the male Quarian concept art.

Maybe you'll be able to catch one in later ME comics, if they make more. Or when EA decides that a Mass Effect cartoon movie, or computerized movie, sounds like a good idea. Like they did with Dead Space and Dante's Inferno.

If the Turian homeworld turns out to be later on DLC like I thought I read somewhere as a possibility in Bioware's 'mind', then likely.

If not, then who knowzzzz

True for the first game, but ME2 doesn't have space limitations.

I'm with the interpretation that male and female Turians are indistinguishabale from one another to humans.

Some comments from the old ME forum from this thread about why is there a galaxy of no females?: http://meforums.biow...&forum=144&sp=0
There is more in there.

Yes...it is called the 'Galaxy of logic!'

In addition to time constraints, a female version of an alien species is another unique memory asset for an area. So in a place like one memory chunk of the Presidium, for example, you might have:

- Male human
- Female human
- Male turian
- Male salarian
- Asari
- Hanar

That's cutting things close, even with the asari using the same skeleton as humans. If you wanted to have female turians, you'd have to cut something else out of that area in order to make room for it. So the area with female turians doesn't have male salarians, for example.

Nobody on the dev team is in love with having a universe with a bunch of the alien women off behind a wall like Vera on Cheers, but that's what we've got to work with, for tech and time reasons.

It's not just memory. It's the time art has had to spend developing new creatures and areas. Making some turians have female voices and be otherwise indistinguishable (to humans) was floated as an idea, then discarded.

It's not ideal, no, but we're on an extremely aggressive schedule, and I'm impressed with what we have achieved.

The idea of female turians being indistinguishable from male turians was discarded as Patrick Weekes said. Though, they could always change their minds I guess.

We all know female turians are locked up for their unproductive violent rebellious nature. They are used for breeding only.*how about that as a excuse*And the male turians cant let that happen uncontrolled so they lock them all up on their home world where each turian's duty requires him to go back and make a kid then raise the kid on his own.

good excuse yes or no?

il go with no since i thought it up in less then 5 seconds.

Or maybe its because most of the Turians you encounter are in their military... which is comprised only of males. That's stated in the game somewhere... Feros I think, or maybe in conversation with Garrus. As for background characters, who really cares? They're not important. It's like asking why there are no female Keepers. Because there doesn't need to be.

It'd be interesting if, in addition to female versions, they redid the asari models to not have human frames. In the concept art they seemed more thin and lanky with especially long legs

Do you mean Krogan? That doesn't sound like Turian society at all.

Because they aren't indistinguishable from male turians, if you saw one you'd know, there have only been male turians shown so far.

I was completely serious with my first reply. While Bioware games are usually great and all, they really lack polish and details. Look at all the minor things that DAO lacked (especially with regard to models, graphics etc.) The same is the case for Mass Effect; very limited customization (even ME2 doesn't have upgrades in that area from what I've hard) and, for example, the giraffe necks of females... Seems these days Bioware is more interested in making priced DLCs than getting a decent finish. Good characters and story, along with interesting encounters aside, there are a lot of annoyances.

BioWare games have always been like that from what I've seen. It's not a big deal to me, they have a deadline, but it was nice that others could pick up from where BW left off with DA:O, though I've yet to download any mods for it.

How do you know all the turians you have come across in ME are NOT actually female? Hmmmmm?

More seriously, you can't actually see them. You see, the female turians have a chamelon-like blending ability. They have alwyas been around you-- everywhere-- naked-- dancing.
