I seen some fellow forum posters with a Kal'Reegar avatar. I don't have it for some reason and would like to know how to get it. If it is one on the ME2 avatars, could someone tell me how to register ME2 when you get it with the trilogy pack?

It's under Mass Effect 3 War Assets but I can't for the life of me remember how I got them to pop up

Play MP, level up a class to 20 and promote it.
Then do what sykomisfit said.

 I did that and I didn't get any "war assets" avatars. Nor did I get any new ones.

Maybe try loading a Single Player save, then check again?

 ill try that tomorrow. I heard it is in some war asset avatar pack that you get for something. But I promted my QFI. Maybe I need to promote a certain class?

The same way you're using that avatar, Matches. If you make an avatar of the right size and file type, structure it like a character protrait, and then set it to read only, then your character won't override it - and the next time your character is updated, their portrait becomes that custom avy.
