Hi all. Is there any reason why a group of creatures on Neutral faction, that is 50 to all, is hostile?
What could cause this?

They're really angry and have had enough of sitting on the fence and watching all the action !

But seriously check your other factions to see if anybody hates them or check your faction changing scripts to see if they or a creature that got included in a change was one of them.

Factions cause hilarious bugs like fighting chickens or horses but the best one I did was had an iron golem wipe out a whole village as soon as I entered the area.

Weird thing is that it happened when I was building the 4th module, and never had a problem before. After that though, the factions of the previous modules went crazy as well.

Fixed. A while ago some stuff ended up in my override. Need to clear this thing.
By the way, what you said reminded me of something in BG. This message you get while walking on the street Cat attacks mouse.
I also did something in a dangerous tavern. I put two guys there, with opposite factions. They seem to have a tavern brawl. Just have to make them immortal, or they'll kill each other.

Why not give them both a whole heap of hit points and let one die but not decay to add to the ambience and the victor can then return to his waypoint at the table as if nothing's happened.

Can also happen. I like it, and generally like playing with the factions.

Or make both of them immortal, but give them a similar OnDamage script that trolls have. You could remove the checks for fire or acid (and the subsequent death effect), and instead change the brawlers' factions when one of them is knocked out. Then they'd fight until one of them was reduced to 1HP, the fight would stop, and the loser would be knocked unconscious for a while. You could give both of them hides that cause them to regenerate slowly.

Once they're no longer in combat, their walk waypoint system would cause them to wander back to home waypoints. A nearby ipoint with a heartbeat script could periodically change their custom factions back again if they're not currently in combat and one isn't unconscious (you'd need 'faction pigs' for that).

"What're YOU looking at!"
