I just finished playing ME1 and was wondering if there is anyway I can uninstall it but still keep the save games for import into ME2?

uninstalling Mass Effect from the HDD shouldn't screw up your saved games me thinks, seeing as that function came after ME came out, if that's what you mean?

As long as you have the actual saves still there.

I've re-installed the game countless times without my saves being deleted, so feel free. They're in an entirely different folder than what the bulk of the game is installed to.

It's in your documents/bioware/mass effect

C:\\Users\\Michael\\Documents\\BioWare\\Mass Effect

For me.

The only way you can lose your save files is if you manually delete them.
