Talking with the dead

necromancy. I believe not only should this spell be used in combat such as
raising the dead etc., but it should also have non-combative attributes such as
speaking to the dead. How cool would it be if you are an investigating a murder
and you can actually speak with the victims and hear their accounts? In
addition given that there is a tear in the Vail it provides the perfect excuse
for why such a spell can be used.
What I also like is that it provides an excuse to always
have a mage in your party. Instead of only having mages to heal, you might want
to carry a mage so in the event that you run into a group of dead bodies the
inquisitor can have a better idea of what happened. This sounds more realistic
than coming across notes in the dead bodies that magically explains everything
that happens.

I don't think there's a way to talk to the dead in Dragon Age. Just because something seems "cool" doesn't mean it needs shoved in.
The witch from the silent grove could do it

What guarantee the dead don't lie?

The murderer was the Empress.
Where'd you hear that?
Some dead guy.
And you believed him?
Yeah, the dead can't tell you anything that's not true.
Where'd you hear that?
Some dead guy.

I was always disappointed there wasn't special dialogue for the burnt corpse with Ignus in my party.MichaelStJohn90068 wrote...
This was a spell in Planescape: Torment, and it was really cool to be able to talk to all the zombies in the mausoleum. Most of their responses were just for flavor, but the effect was incredible.
