No reason for him to be dead.
No reason for him to be king of Krogans.
How is this situation accounted for?

You wouldn't have got the achievement "resolve impossible situation". Wrex still met Shepard though, so, they probably won't be a difference.

You can get this with Saren

I actually tried at one point not to recruit him, on my way out of the citadel, and he stopped me outside the elevator to the dock in C-Sec. Conversation occured and he ended up coming along. No avoidance allowed.

What makes you think he didn't return to his homeworld anyway?

No Wrex?! Why would someone do that? He was definitely one of the most entertaining characters if not THE most entertaining in the game.

Because he is a mercenaty and still has a contract to complete, the one with the Shadow Broker.

You HAVE to meet Wrex. He waits at the elevator to the Normandy for you if you don't go to see him anywhere else. He knows the guy is dead no matter what. He can move on.

I'm more interested in what happens in ME2 after leaving Garrus on the Citadel. I'm hoping for a very awkward and bitter reunion with him on my renegade Shep.
Wrex is probably just MIA in this scenario for ME2, though. Probably the same as killing him.

I mean I let Fist go (not in Sally's sense).
AND it can't be the same as killing him, for we are told that if you've virmired him, the krogans on Tuchanka will be very edgy about you personally, like "Look, it's that MF Shepard, lets get him!!!". But if you have nothing to do with Wrex's death, they should be like "Some Shepard, savior of the Galaxy... like we give a sh*t about Galaxy!"

The most entertaining character was my Shepard who needs no potential mutineers aboard his warship.
