Who doesn't spec Proxy Mine onto their GI?

On the Turian Soldier, I have been trying builds without Proxy Mine, and I think I prefer skipping it there. The debuff doesn't really help that much, because the amount of time you get locked out of Marksman kind of offsets it. I'd rather use CS for a quick stagger and return to Marksman.

I mean it also hits through walls. Just saying.Miniditka77 wrote...
On the GI, it would seem stupid not to spec into Proxy Mine. I suppose if you're exclusively shooting stuff through walls, it might not be necessary. Still, Proxy Mine is very useful for stopping Husks/Aboms or staggering Dragoons.

I could see someone going with the slow option on it for lulz but skipping it?

I didn't realise that Proxy Mine can go through 4m of solid wall too.OniGanon wrote...
If you're using a Jav, how much do you really need Fitness while you're firing away from the other side of the level through 4m of solid wall?

I didn't realise that you only shoot enemies through 4m of solid wall for every shot

The argument was that when using the Javelin, you can shoot enemies that can't shoot back so there's no need for fitness. But any time you would use Proxy you'd have to have line of sight, which means they can shoot you back and fitness matters.Ferocious Panda wrote...

I mean, it is one of the major tools of survival for the GI, besides debuffing all enemies

I use proxy on the Tsol thusly... MM exclusively in the early waves to mow down mooks (Hurricane + Eagle). As soon as bosses start appearing I'll proxy them, unload a clip of Hurricane rounds (double ammo mods) and activate MM as soon as it's off cooldown from the proxy to skip the reload and up the damage again. Constant fire + debuff on a boss will end most of them before you get hit with a reload animation.
Hurricane for up close, Eagle for across the map. Recharge is nearly 200% so you don't wait long for MM.
