I listen to a lot of different stuff. Bonobo, Nujabes, Charlie Parker, Charles MIngues, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Classical Music, Beyond Creation, Black Dahlia Murder, Between the Buried and Me, Animals as Leaders, Necrophagist, Baroness, Opeth, The Faceless, Spawn of Possession, Special Providence.

Damn, Charlie Mingus?!  I don't think I could handle him while trying to maintain any focus on the game.  Head asplode.

Nothing, sounds in mp are pretty important.

Basically this.
Only one exception: krogan kits get played whilst listening to 80's thrash metal.
Megadeth or exodus work nicely.

"Goodbye Pork Pie Hat" performed by Joni Mitchell or Jeff Beck. best tribute to Mingus I can think of tbh

Thanks for the tip.  Had to go find Joni Mitchell's rendition (never heard it before).  Awesome.

But if you listen to music while your Krogan is headbanging headbutting, how can you hear him laugh?

I have an extensive playlist that I listen to when I'm gaming. It's over 500 songs and really cannot be posted here because of language and length.

Just know that it's very varied and keeps me awake during boring things.

Look dude I have a website for these things, ok?

Don't listen to music, but every so often I'll have a sporting event on the radio while playing MP.

Deftones

Saw them live in a tiny placa with maybe 100-200 other people, right up close. Freaking awesome night. They spent the first half an hour rewiring cause their monster system blew the tiny place's electrics, but once they started everyone was jones'n for it so bad it went wild. I love small concerts like that.

Neil Diamond. Somehow it just feels right to sing along to "Sweet Caroline" while chucking inferno grenades.

Whenever I pug, it's a guarantee that I'm listening to some hard rock.

Hearing "Squad member offline" gets old after a few waves.

My opinion hasn't changed, nor has my tastes.

Lately I've been listetning to a mixture of Sick Puppies, Volbeat, and Chevelle while pugging/soloing. I'm obviously going to turn it off if I'm miced up in a lobby with friends.

@Husar LOL

I prefer classical music when playing. Sometimes I switch to nature sounds, aka pugs coughing or making weird jungle sounds in their mic.

You on a stationary bike is the only nature sound I need :D

I don't listen to music while I play because I find hearing what is going on is very useful.  But if I listen while playing other games, it's usualy Epica.  When its not, its probably Tarja or Nightwish.</p>
