The website clearly says there was supposed to be a N7 Day Loyalty Pack. But, it wasnt there when I was playing yesterday. And it's not there now. http://masseffect.bi...ommunity/n7day/  Or is this page never updated from last year?:bandit:

Yeah, that's basically it :P as it says in the very beginning: "Welcome to the first annual N7 Day!" - yesterday was the 2nd N7 Day in Mass Effect history :) so no Loyalty Packs this time around, I'm afraid!

Seriously, apart from that video with the voice actors (which was admittedly pretty awesome) I get the distinct impression that Bioware really doesn't give a damn about N7 Day anymore. "Just send in your art/work to us and maybe we'll play with you a bit." I mean, THEY announced it like it was a big deal, and now they can't even be bothered to bring their own site up to date? I'm seriously underwhelmed.
Oh well, maybe my expectations were too high.

You make it sound like it's a centuries-old tradition :P

I don't know, I think it was great. Lots of people tweeted memories or interesting tidbits of info from the development of the trilogy, some of them played the ME3 multiplayer, and we got some ME"4" teasers to kick off more speculations from those that enjoy doing that. And the video you mentioned, which included fanart. What more did you expect?

I'm happily surprised by what we saw and heard. I got the impression they wanted to celebrate the franchise with us (they mention us, the fans, quite a few times), and I felt like we did so too. Not a major event, sure, but just a nice day of expressing our love for Mass Effect, developers and players alike :)

Like I said, maybe my expectations were too high. TBH I had actually hoped for a DLC sale. ;) IMO they made it sound like something traditional in the first place (via their announcements etc.), which is why I got the initial feeling that this would be something larger than it turned out to be.
You're right of course, what happened yesterday was nice, no need to argue there.

You must have missed the first artwork/pics from ME4.

That were 2 pictures, taken with a digital camera. Probably took them a whole 2 minutes, including upload to Twitter.

AFAIK we already knew the fact that ME4 is in development, so no worthwhile new info there. It's all just hype, and we will pay them for the end result. So no, I don't recognize taking those pictures as any real effort on their side. It's a nice marketing gag, nothing more.

Sry, but that topic is kind of aggravating to me, lets just drop it for now, please.

I'm with this guy^. It's the same impression I got. and even the video didn't have everyone in it...maybe just those with their own studio, which I'm thankful Courtney Taylor was in it at least, even if bioware doesn't seem to care at all about Jack.

They hyped it up to be some sort of event...and really, it didn't feel like it at all. MP didn't have any free packs or even missions...an N7 day banner at least.

All in all, it was pretty weak.
