(I hope this is the right place for my question, otherwise feel free to move it to the proper place.)

So, I started a NG+ and I was looking forward to finally use my Cerberus Spirit Armour that I simply had no use for when I unlocked it at the end of my first playthrough with the character (there was nothing more to play but the end, which I had already taken her through twice).

BUT I forgot that I had uninstalled the Citadel DLC on my Xbox360 because I needed to free up some space. After playing Earth and Mars and talking to the Citadel, I finally got to check my armour locker, but no Cerberus Spirit Armour! I downloaded the Citadel DLC again, but it didn't help.

So, my question is, is this a common problem/bug that may reoccur, or do I just need to restart the NG+ with The Citadel DLC installed, in order to fix it? I have very limited amount of time to play games at the moment, so I don't want to even imagine replaying it only to find out that I didn't get the damn armour again. If it's a common problem or bug, then I might just keep playing and not bother with the spirit armour.

Thanks in advance. :)

How can you import if you don't get to the end of the game?

Not sure about the DLC related stuff. I would think your save game file would still have all of the inventory in it, just not useable unless you have the DLC installed.

If the DLC is uninstalled, how can you have armor that is in that DLC?

I installed the dlc when I noticed it, but the armour wasn't added despite that. So I'm curious if its a bug or if the DLC has to be installed when the NG+ save file is created.

I have no idea how uninstalling and reinstalling that DLC is going to affect the situation. There is a least a decent chance that you are boned.

That said, I was missing my DLC assets from my NG+ for the following reasons:

• Finished a Soldier playthrough a months ago.
• Got DLC. Picked up from the endgame starting point (before final mission).
• Beat DLC.
• Started NG+ and realized DLC items were missing.

So I had to go back to my post-DLC-completion save, play through the final mission, then start and NG+. At that point everything was good.

What I think you are going to have to do is:
• Go back to an earlier save if possible.
• Play through the DLC AND the final mission.
• Choose destroy because you are pissed about having to do all this extra work.
• Start your NG+.

It is not a bug.

You need to have the DLC installed when you import the save. You also usually need to be connected to the internet when you do the import so that you pass all DLC checks and the game will unlock various DLC content.

Sounds like fixing this will take more time to fix than I even imagined. I checked and some of the other assets are also missing, probably from other uninstalled DLC. I don't know why though, but the Leviathan gun mods seems to be still there, even though that DLC is still uninstalled. I used them during the Mars mission, which is I guess why I was so surprised that the Spirit Armour didn't appear as well. So confusing. Perhaps I should just save my NG+ playthrough until next year, when I'll have more time to fix the original save file.

Thanks to all of you for explaining this to me! Lots of things I didn't know about the perils of DLC assets. :)
