I wanted to know if DA2 recognizes that the warden made the ultimate sacrifice as I am considering this ending for my second DA:O playthrough. I don't want to import to awakening (I know that doesn't work properly), I just want to import directly from DA:O to DA2. I have searched this up but I just find people talking about importing an ultimate sacrifice warden from awakening to DA2.

Yes. I had an Amell US I imported to DA2 from Origins without doing Awakenings, which the game recognized as the warden (about all that it does do whether US or other ending is chosen). Cullen mentioned her (though he may not mention a male Amell? My import was a female) and maybe Leandra? TBH none of the wardens get much mention, but you can find a codex that talks about him/her in context of the blight. As this is the 'no spoilers' section of the boards I can't say too much without spoilering.
