[cap and gown]

Just unlocked the Krogan soldier and saw all his bonuses for melee so I just had to try it out. Once I got the hang of it I was tearing though Reapers like a hot knife through butter. Watching Cannibals go flying was hilarious. I gave him a Scimitar with a blade attachment, but the only point was the blade, never even fired the gun.I actually made it through 5 waves (bronze) before failing the 6th wave because it was a device objective. Actually, I just blew that off and ran around for 5 minutes just smashing everything in sight. Who'd of thunk heavy melee was the best way to take down a Ravager?  I have named him Mini-Grunt. Brutes, not so much, though I did take down one with heavy melee after getting it down on health with a combination of incendiary grenade and carnage. Despite this, I would not have thought it advisable to attempt to melee a Banshee. But I just played an bronze match and watched a Krogan player actually go mano-a-mano with a Banshee and not die. (Course, he had a lot of help.)

Have people put together all Krogan teams with he objective and taking everyone down with just melee? (Wrex's Army)

Still, playing on xbox, the issue of having to take your thumb off the camera control in order to melee showed up as an issue. BW really needs to work on their key mapping so that controls that would benefit from steering while using them do not require taking your thumb off the camera stick, specifically running and melee.

I think my best moment was when I was on my Warlord right as they came out, and I saw someone use the three-hit combo for the first time. I asked him how he did it, and he explained that all I needed to do was punch the melee button three times.

I'm looking around for an enemy, and an empowered Abomination walks up to me. One hit stuns him, the second brings him to a sliver of health, and the third hit kills him whilst sending him flying. I cannot even begin to express my delight when I saw my Warlord knock away that abomination as it detonated in the air in a ball of fire, the Krogan still holding his hammer in its just-swung position.

yeah just a three-chain LM combo. effectivly hits about as hard as a HM IIRC

The problem with the krogan soldier is he's so short.

Seriously, he looks like a midget next to the Kroguard, shaman or warlord.
I wouldn't be surprised if he only had a double, and not a quad...

You could do the same with a melee Human Engineer.

I use the Shaman as a PPR weapon build. I spec out of shoackwave *gasp* and build it with warp +warp ammo. Barrier specced for full DR and Power Damage. PPR with Thermal Clip + Piercing Mod. could go for cheese but opt not to
