Kroguard melee is so fun. Things fly everywhere. It do pretty well with it on Gold, so you can completely wreck things with it on Bronze/Silver.

Any light shotgun will do, I just put the Eviscerator there because it's only uncommon. You could change the ammo to Incendiary to set up fire explosions too.

Try it. It's second only to the Warlord in terms of Krogan melee characters in my opinion.

I'm looking around for an enemy, and an empowered Abomination walks up to me. One hit stuns him, the second brings him to a sliver of health, and the third hit kills him whilst sending him flying. I cannot even begin to express my delight when I saw my Warlord knock away that abomination as it detonated in the air in a ball of fire, the Krogan still holding his hammer in its just-swung position.

I played a full melee KroSent w/Strength Enhancer & Hydraulic Joints the other day and I agree, it's insanely fun and things die in record speed.

I sounded like Leland during that game as much as I was giggling.

Oh, OP, you really missed last year operations...

There were objectives like that. Extract with a full Turian Team, Krogan Team, etc.

If you have the Krogan Sentinel, try something like this:

It's pretty much the most fun I have playing melee characters, get him in rage and just headbutt and b****slap everything in the game. It is important to keep the rage going as it is your bread and butter.

Tip on brutes: wait until they start their charge, then do heavy melee head on. You get kind of the hatesurf effect with damage reduction.

Another tip: Banshee "aura" negates melee hits, same with Phantom and Pretorian bubble.

What is a "hatesurf" effect? (And yes, I got him into rage mode as fast as possible. With fortification and Rage mode you get some serious damage reduction.)

The sentinel gets and added 40% melee damage on top of all other bonuses in his Tech Armor evo rank 5.

The heavy melee animation also provide damage reduction in it self. Don't remember the numbers, but the Batarians I believe have around 70-80% DR while executing their heavy melee.

Hatesurf is when you connect/lock on with your heavy melee on to a target which is moving. This will drag your character along with the target.

Probably.  I prefer Piranha Acolyte on Shaman with full Biotics spec'd for cooldown on max rank evo

Get up close and personal, spam biotics and maxed biotic explosions, crowd control phantoms and dragoons

Am really interested in using the Particle Rifle though

Well, that is my alternative build with him. Everyone goes for CQC with him and understandably, but i had wanted to try something different on him

Someone posted a suggestion a while back of a Gold solo with a Kroguard with no shots fired, only Melee (Disciple with Melee attachment to keep cooldowns at 200%) and now every time I want to unwind I send Geth flying through the air. So I can definitely relate, OP! Although for no shots fired runs I definitely avoid sync kill factions...
