Why is everyone so set on taking the Pierce evo on Warp?

Shredder Mod: Ignores 65% (32.5) of armour leaving just 12.5 points of damage mitigation. Warp Rounds tthen weaken it by 65% (11,375) leaving just 6.125 points of damage mitigation. 6 points of damage per shot is negligible on snipers, shotguns and most pistols and even the majority of automatic weapons. And those it does effect, it isn't major, no one's ever purposefull went 100% armour mitigation whilst using the Avenger. Also with AR and SMG High Velocity Barrel you ignore 90% of armour leaving 5 points and then weaken it by 65% leaving just 1.75 points of damage mitigation which is always negligible. And this is before Warp's biotic damage bonus.

Hard for anything in this thread to be absolute fact. It was meant to be thought provoking... Queen can't handle that bc... Ya know... Thinking. She needs a real man (like Confident Cain) to do her thinking for her.

I took it because I needed to get the biotic explosions out a little bit faster than the default cancelled tactical cloak recharge allowed and those hundreths of a second really counted (dragoon rush). When I huntress I don't always cloak before using a power unless it is something I plan on spending abit of time on taking down so I needed the warp on it's own to be fast. In relation to dragoons they move so fast and sometimes they are so close together that when you dark channel one and try to warp him you end up targeting another dragoon so no BE.
Now though I just take pierce since I have changed to the wraith huntress which has a faster recharge than my particle rifle build. IMO 6b is relevant if you have a long recharge speed and you have an flimsy character with no cyclonics or damage reduction to protect you whilst you wait. I think that it is a choice that someone makes under very specific circumstances but the default is and really should be pierce.

But when I used the Raider or the Claymore on the Valkyrie I went for recharge speed.
My TSent has only 5 ranks in Warp: Damage and Expose.

If you have a proper weapons setup for piercing etc the only thing that evo is doing is making your teammates weapons more effective. You are actually making your team more efficient killers if they're not setup properly and hurting yourself on the scoreboard.
I take it personally because I am a teamplayer and I run light enough weapons that recharge really doesn't make a huge difference. If I were running a heavy loadout recharge might be more attractive to me.
