Just wondering what you chose and why?

I'm conflicted between the two really. PS4 sounds better, but all my friends are getting the Xbox, I would actually have no friends at all on the PS4.

Even if the PS4 had better exclusives, they still won't get it. They just want the Xbox and are happy with it.

I'm most likely gonna go with PS4 because it's cheaper and for infamous second son. I am gonna wait a year first though, just in case of something like red ring of death or the PSN hacking happens again.

PS4 because I know they will have better exclusives along the years to come.

I'm waiting it out until the beta testers have had a thorough go at both consoles.

Yeah PS4, xbox had been bending overbacwards to remove features people didn't want like the kinect and always online, so at this point it's coming down to what games will be available and the PS4 exlusives just has my interest more than what xbox is dishing out.

Though I'll be holding of before picking it up, never buy consoles at launch.

I'm torn as well mainly due to PS4 having some great indie horror games. I did read a thing from head if Activision - I think - where he believed prices would drop quicker for the upcoming gen of consoles. So maybe better to wait until both have lower price and better back catalogue of games to decide.

The different controller is also another point. I'm not getting one of the new consoles, but I would still like to try them out. I wonder how the PS4 controller will function. They both seem like good consoles. I think the long term support for both consoles will be very important as well.

Yes this!

I either pick my friends or get the good exclusives and horror games. I don't know anyone who owns a PS3 or mentioned getting the PS4.

I will wait. Not enough exclusive game and most of them I can play on my PC. I have just purchased a 770 GTX 4 GB for 440 munchies so nothing really urgent.

Yeah I know... I purchased a 4 GB for like 80 more munchies. The 4 GB version seem to be a marketing cash cow ploy,( I am quite aware that before those 4 GB are used by video game, my video card might be obsolete on speed term and won't really use the 4 GB at this point) but after reflection and seing that the new gen is coming. I though that 2 GB was not enough. Anyway .. I hope I did not waste 80 munchies. Will see in 1-2 years.

Anyway .. I don't know why I should buy a PS4 or One right now. The very model usually have problem plus PSN and XBOX live will probably have hundred of problem at launch with very few good exclusive .. I don't see my money worth.

I'm on PC, which is more powerful than these consoles could ever hope to be.

PS4 probably. It seems to have better exclusives and frankly I don't have much faith in Microsoft's decision making circles when it comes to choosing features after the Xone reveal.

It will be interesting to see if xbox's new indie policies lead to Daylight and Outlast coming to Xbox. Might just be wishful thinking though considering I'm pretty much only person left who thinks Until Dawn will ever come out on PS3.

And just a quick aside, I watched the video of new Kinect in action and it seemed pretty good - not just remote control for the lazy. Admittedly I found the sensor logging in two people just by seeing them in room was kinda creepy though.

I'm getting a PS4.

I made my choice long before Microsoft made all thier policy reversals. The big things that pushed me towards Sony and the PS4 were Microsoft's insistence that the XBox One be online all the time and Kinect being mandatory for usage of the XBox One. Since then they have gone back on these decisions but by then it was too late to pre order a XBox One, they were all gone, I had also put down a hefty deposit on the PS4.

To be honest I probably would still have gone with the PS4 over the XBox One. Microsoft are very good with software and I am going to miss the UI of XBox Live but I don't trust them on the hardware front. Between the Red ring of Death and the fact that they could not get the 360 hardware right until the the 360 Slim ( the first 360 models did not a HDMI port and it wasn't until the Slim came around that the 360 had built in WiFi ) I'm expecting there to be many XBox One SKU's and many hardware revisions in the coming years. I'm prepared to wait until the second generation XBox Ones come out. My PS4 on the other hand will not age as much as the XBox One will and could very well be the only PS4 that I buy. I also know what Sony's first party developers are capable of and I am making an investment in the PS4's future potential.
