Wait, there's another question. Since when did we notice that there's a shuttle pilot guy on board? I mean Cortez showed up all of a sudden after Mars mission, no recruitment occured.

I think he was always there, just Vega volunteered/was voluntold to fly to mars.

They had to have a reason for Vega to have to go back to the shuttle so Liara could join the squad. Just like they had to give Liara a reason to go back to the Normandy when Garrus joins the squad. In other words, just because.

Well, given that Shepard, Ashley/Kaidan, and James were already there in the shuttlebay and it's only a short space hop from Earth to Mars (given that we ARE talking about a ship that jumps between star systems on a regular basis), so it's conceivable that Steve just wasn't in the shuttlebay when they were ready to go. Given the whole 'Reaper invasion' thing, they probably weren't inclined to wait for the actual shuttle pilot.

ME stories are not written with common sense, scientific understanding, or consistency in mind. They are simply about "feelings."

The sad thing is, the longer I look critically at the series, the more this seems to be the case...

The funny thing about Liara going back to the Normandy is that she doesn't do anything at all once she gets up there. She's just back in her cabin wondering what's going on while the AI core has a fire going on lol.

Pretty much.

What really bugs in the Surkesh mission is how the **** Cerberus attacked STG secret base on the Salarian HOMEWORLD? I mean salarians had fleets guarding their capital world, STG is supposedly the best intelligence service in the galaxy but TIM's boys got there because ...?

Headscratchers vs. ME3? I'm not even gonna start it. IMO the game is so fundamentally dumbed down in almost every area that there would be a thousand things that bother me.
