No. It really only takes a quick glance in this thread to realize that there is no intelligent topic to discuss, so they're just lambasting you.

Multiplayer is the medium of multiple players (the fact that that alone doesn't clue you in stands out for everyone) participating in a single game. The parameters of cooperative play against the environment (bots, in your case), or against the other players are both under the 'multiplayer' umbrella category of both PvE and PvP. The ability to solo doesn't change the fact that it is a mode that is created for multiplayer, despite the handicaps you would place on yourself by not filling the lobby accordingly.

There is no reason as to why you wouldn't be able to grasp this.

I believe the term you're looking for is PVP, or player-vs-player. Multiplayer only implies that you will be able to link up with other people and play together. Both co-op and pvp are part of multiplayer.
